1967-07-06 SP Special Meeting July 6, 1967 Present: John 0. Webster Supervisor N. Harwood Beaty Councilman Theodore Turner Councilman Curtis Lampson Councilman Hammond Robertson, Jr. Councilman Supervisor Webster called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. With no visitors in attendance the meeting was resumed. The public hearing on the application of Clinton & Ruby Mosher to locate a mobile home on Minnesota Ave. , was declared open by the Supervisor. The clerk presented proof of publication of the notice for the hearing. With no persons in appearance in favor of or against the granting of the permit, the hearing was declared closed at 8:05 p.m. The permit will be granted at a later time this meeting. The public hearing on the application of David T. Bennett to locate a mobile home at 8 Pinello Road was declared open by the Supervisor at 8:05 p.m. Proof of publication was presented by the clerk. With no persons in appearance in favor of or in opposition to granting of the permit, the hearing was declared closed at 8:10 p.m. The permit will be granted. The minutes of -the meeting of June 29, 1967 were approved as amended. Carried unanimously. The clerk read the following communications: July 7, 1967 Dear Sirs: I would like very much to get that crossing job at Meadowbrook Road for kids on way to school. Please let me know. Yours Ray Hoague Connecticut Ave. , West Glens `Falls, N. Y. The clerk presented the application of Michael Liddle to obtain a permit to locate a mobile home on Luzern Road. Action was deferred on the application for further study by the Building Inspector and members of the Town Board. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT FOR MOBILE HOME #83 i �-= RESOLUTION NO. 134, introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Lampson. WHEREAS, Martin & Ruby Mosher of Minnesota Avenue, R.F.D #3, has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4„ of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled; ORDINANCE CFOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated Minesota Ave, and 226 WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in favor of or against said application, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the following reasons: There were no persons in appearance in opposition to the granting of the permit. In the opinion of the Town Board property values in the area would not be adversely effected, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to Martin & Ruby Mosher of Minnesota Avenue R.F.D. #3 to locate a mobile home outside of a licensed mobile home court, at property situated at Minnesota Avenue R.F.D. #3, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the terms and conditions of said ordinance. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr, Webster Noes - Mr. Beaty, Mr, Robertson. Bennett of 11 Prospect Street, Fort Eduard, N.Y. , has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled: ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE DOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated 8 Pinello Road, and WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing -in connection with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in favor of or against said application, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the following reasons: There were no persons in appearance in opposition to the granting of the permit. The location for the mobile home was permitted previously to another owner, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to David P. Bennett of 11 Prospect Street, Fort Edward, N. Y. , to locate a mobile home outside of a licensed mobile home court at property situated at 8 Pinello Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the terms and conditions of said ordinance. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster.
