Lewis' to 'locate a` mobile.home oii'I io Street. Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk. 1 Reading of the -$'Notice" was dispensed with at this time: Town Clerk, George C. Crannell summarized the original application as presented, t Supervisor Webster requested a voice of opinion from any persons i present, either in opposition_ or in favor of the granting of the permit As reqiiested. There were none. The public hearing was closed at 7:35 p.m. Following a request of the Supervisor for a consensus of opinion on the granting of the permit; it was stated that the permit would be granted. _ I The minutes of the meeting of August 4th, 1966 were approved, i . Carried unanimously. A copy of a letter as prebiously addressed to the Secretary of the Queensbury Planning Board was read by the clerk-. The nature of the letter voiced approval of the proposed zoning for the Town of Queensbury. j Mrs. Joan Hague 64, the League of Women Voters visited the meeting at this' time. The following letter was received and, read by the clerk. Glens Falls Trades and Labor Assembly Wednesday_, August 10,. 1966 Mr. John Webster and members of the town board Chestnut Ridge Town of Queensbury Dear Mr. Webster: The Glens Falls Trades and Labor Assembly respectfully asks that the town board of queensbury name a member of organiXed labor to its planning board. There are hundreds of union members who own homes' in the town- of Queensbttry and it is the feeling of our organization that we should have a- representative on the board. Htbping to hear soon of your decision, I remain,- Sincerly Yours Alzor J._ Hamel_, Secretary t Supervisor Webster presented the Monthly Statement of the Supervisor for the month of July,- 1966. The total receipts as noted were $34,905.14. The total disbursements for the month were $99,125.75. The report of investigations of the Building Inspector were read by the clerk. The 'reports iiicluded the application of the Lake George Travel Park for a transit mobile home court and also ----� the application of Allan Martindale to locate a mobile home on Moon Hill Road, Mrs, Marie Purchla, the Receiver of Taxes and Assessments for the Town of Queensbury, visited the meeting at this time. Councilman Robertson, stated that in his opinion the application of the Lake George Travel Park should be received. Mrs. Marie Purchla was granted the floor a request was submitted for approval of-provision for a deputy in her office in- the heavy tax period following September lst,t1966. The Supervisor stated that he would study the present budget situation and report to the Town Board at a later date. , Mr. Clifford Witham was greeted at the meeting at this time. Mr. Witham was granted the floor to discuss the nature of the letter which appears in this meeting reports from the Glens Falls Trades x and Labor Assembly. Councilman Robertson and Supervisor Webster discussed the present Planning Board as to its complement and also the procedure which has taken place in appointments on the planning board during its years of being in force within the town. Chief of Police, LeRoy Phillips and Attorney Robert Stvwart were greeted' at' the meeting at •this" time. 12 Attorney Stewart was presented the original application of the Lake George Trailer Park which included the opinion of Mr. Norman Ferguson, the building inspector. Chief of police LeRoy Phillips reported on activity towards investigations of of Junk Yard conditions within the town. Supervisor Webster stated, that the opinion of the Town Board is that a public hearing will be arranged for September 1st4 1966 on the application of the Lake George Trailer Park. The Supervisor reported that the contract has been signed to provide two-way radios in all town owned equipment. The cost as-otated is $6,792.00 of which the Federal Government will re- inburse the Town of Queensbury for an amount -of $3,396.00. RESOLUTION.TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT.FOR MOBILE HOME #59 RESOLUTION NO. 1.95, introduced by Mr.' Robertson, seconded by Mr. Turner. WHEREAS, Joseph R. Lewis of 58 Allen Street, Hudson Falls-, N. Y. , has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the, Town of Queensbury entitled-ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS -IN THE TOWN OF ,QUEtNSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW�YORK, to locate a mobile home outside. of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated 7 Leo Street, West Glens Falls, N. Y. , and WHEREAS, this town board has conducted ad public hearing in ` connection with said application and has}heard all persons desiring to be heard in &*or of or against said application, and j WHEREAS, it is hereby determined -that the facts presented in said j application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the following 3roasons: There werecuo persons in appearance in opposition to the granting of the permit. In the opinion of the members of the Town Board, the property values in the area would not be adversely effected by the granting, of -the permit. RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to Joseph R. Lewis of 58 Allen Street, Hudson Falls, N. Y. , to locate a mobile home outside of a licensed mobile home court, at property situated at 7 Leo Street, West Glens Falls, N. Y. , and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the terms and conditions of said ordinance. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING RESOLUTION NO. 1961 introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Turner. WHEREAS, Allan Martindale of R.F.D. #1, Lake George, N.. Y. has made application in accordance with paragraph. 2 (c) Section 4, i of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled i 1� (Resolution No. ,196 - continued) ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF .QUEENSBURY., _WARREN COUNTY, NEW-Y0RK, .TO locate a mobile home outside- of _a duly licensed mobile. home . court at property situated Moon Hill Road, 1 mile in from Bay Road, and R Whereas, it is hereby determined that said application complies with the requirements of said ordinance, and { WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this board, therefore be it - RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of--the above mentioned ordinance, the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said application on August 25, 1966, at 7:30 p.m. in the library of Queensbury Junior High School, Aviation Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give proper notice of said public hearing in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance.
