The Supervisor- called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.

The public hearing on the application of Jessica King to operate the
Lake George Travel Trailer Park on Farm to Market Road in the
Town of Queensbury was declared open by the Supervisor. .
The proof -of publication was presented by the clerk.
The notice was aot read at this time.
The clerk summarized the original application.
Supervisor Webster requested a voice of opinion from any persons
present either in favor of .or against the granting of the permit.

Mr. Del Hamrond spoke in a non-committal manner discussing travel
trailer parks in general.
The public hearing was declared closed by Supervisor Webster at
8:50 p.m. The Town Board in its entirety agreed that the, final
decision on- the- granting of the permit would be reached following
receipt of opinions on matters brought out in the hearing:, from
County Attorney Albert E. Beswick. ,
Supervisor Webster questioned the "King" Representatives as to
what type of street sign would be installed to advertise the
proposed Trailer Park.
Mr. Bernard King stated that the proposed sign would not exceed
seven feet in width and would be lighted by stationary spot lights.
Supervisor Webster declared the public hearing open on the application
of Henry and June Clothier to locate a mobile home on Burch Road.
The Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk.
Reading of the "Notice" was dispensed with at this time.
The clerk summarized the original application.
The Supervisor requested any voice of opinions wither in. favor of
or in opposition to the granting of the permit. - There were. none
in opposition.
Mr. Henry Clothier spoke in behalf of his application as presented.
Supervisor Webster declared the public hearing closed at 9:00 p.m.
Following a consensus of opinion from the members of the Town Board
it was stated that the permit will be granted at this pneeting.- _
The Supervisor opened the public hearing on the- application of
Evelyn La Mora to construct a mobile home court -on Corinth JLoad.
Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk.
Reading of the "Notice" was dispensed with at this time-.
The clerk summarized the original application as �presented.
The Supervisor requested a voice from any persons in- favor of or
in opposition to the granting of the permit. There were r}one in ,

Supervisor Webster stated at this time that Mrs. Evelyn LaMora has
asked that the application be withdrawn at this time.
The Supervisor declared thre public hearing closed at 9:12 p.m.
Mr. Harold Rathbun was granted the floor. Mr. Rathbun stated an
opinion that the LaMora application should be handled in the same
manner as the application for the Lake George Transit Trailer Pakk.
The public hearing on the application of Robert LaDue to place
mobile home on Route 9L was opened by the Supervisor. ,
Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk.
Reading of the Notice was dispensed with at this time.
Supervisor Webster stated at this time that Mr. Robert LaDue has
personally requested that this application be withdrawn: ,
John Pompoino.was granted the floor. Mr. Pomponio stated that_a,
new resident of Assembly Point, Mr. James Collier, has obstructed
a town road with construction of, a building and that a l0foot >
easement to the lake shore has been blocked off.
Mr. George Wertime was gratdted -the floor. Mr. Wertime spoke in favor
of forcing Mr. Collier to move the house under construction to eliminate
the encroachment.
-- Bernard J. Codner, Superintendent of Highways stated that Attorney
Albert E. Beswick has suggested that a court order would be necessary,
in order to settle the problem of ownership involving Mr. James Collier
at Assembly Point.
Dr. James C. Walsh was granted the floor. Lengthy discussion was
advanced by Dr. Walsh on the present action being taken by the
Town of Queensbury to eliminate the obstructions on the property
involved. With the present condition existing it was stated by
Dr. Walsh that fire protection would be hampered in the area.
Mr. Bernard J. Codner, Superintendent of highways stated that he was
aware of the problem but the legal aspects of the highway must be
decided before action could be taken.
Mr. Donald Weed stated that he is a property owner in the area and
that he is of the opinion that the road in question is a town highway.
Mr. John Pomponio stated that, Mr. James Collier is ignoring the
requests of other residents to allow the use of the 10 foot easement
to the lake shore.
Councilman Beaty stated that the Town Board will act promptly when
the advise of the County.Attorney,hasfbeen secured.
The minutes of the meeting of August 25, 1966 were approved.__
Carried unanimously.
The application of Melvin Slopey to make use of additional lots as
shown on the original map with the application for a•permit to
construct a mobile home court on. Pitcher Road was presented by the clerk.
The application will be referred to the Building Inspector for an
opinion.
RESOLUTION NO. 214, Introduced by Mr; Robertson, seconded by Mr. Turner. 1
WHEREAS' Town Board" adopted Resolution No. 213 on August 25, 1966,
approving the petition for the establislnt of a residential area
to be known as the Kattskill Bay Residential Area pursuant to Article 13-
C of the General Municipal Law and designated Albert E. Beswick,
County Attorney, to prepare an Drdinance to establish the proposed
Kattskill Bay Residential Area, and
WHEREAS, such proposed ordinance has been prepared and presented to
the Town Board, be it

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of 'the Town of Queensbury .meet at
the Queensbury Junior High School on Aviation Road in said town
on the 15th day of September, 1966, at 7:30 o'clock, P.M. , to
consider the matter of the adoption of such pmMosed ordinance
and t& 13ear all persons interested, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and
directed to give public notice of such hearing in the. manner ,
provided by law.

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE RETURN OF FUNDS HELD IN ESCROW
RESOLUTION NO. 2153, Introduced by Mr. Lampson, seconded by Mr. Beaty.
WHEREAS, this board adopted Resolution # 143 earlier this year
accepting Town Road # 291 on condition that the subdivider,
Griffin Lumber Company, deposit the sum of $800. to guarantee the
Completion of certain work required by the Supt. of highways, and
WHEREAS, Supt. of Highways Codner has no* advised this board ,
that the necessary work on Town Road # 291 has now been completed
to his satisfaction, be it
RESOLVED, that the sum of $800. deposited by Griffin Lumber
Company -be refunded and that the .supervisor is -hereby-authorized
and directed to draw a check on funds held in escrow in the
amount of $800. , payable to Griffin Lumber Company.
Duly adopted by the following vote:

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE REFUND OF APPLICATION FEE
RESOLUTION NO. 216, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by

WHEREAS, this board has been advised that Evelyn LaMora leave now
decided to withdraw her application for a mobile home court, be it
RESOLVED, that the application, as above mentioned, is therefore
denied, and the Supervisor is directed to refund to the applicant
the fee paid, in the amount of $16.00, said fee having- been
already remitted by the Town Clerk to the Supervisor and deposited
in the General Towne Fund,

Queensbury
Schoolhouse Road.
Layed out and supervised the installation of
6 inch tapping sleeve and valve, 1 fire hydrant
and valve, 300 feet of 6 inch cement lined cast
iron pipe and 3 service connections. This work
was installed by the developer.
Aviation Road & Poplar Drive ,
Supervised. the installation of a 12 by 6 inch
tapping valve and sleeve, 1 hydrant and valve,
and 590 feet of 6 inch cement lined cast iron
pipe. This was installed by the developer.
We repaired 2 curb boxes, raised 1 hydrant, cleaned and ,
raised 2, gate• valve boxes and repaired l broken service
line.
During the month a large amount of brush at the well
site was cut and we are continuing our efforts to
improve the grounds at the treatment plant.
We have started our fall program of fire hydrant, main-
tenance. All the hydrants will be tested, lubricated
and painted. This year we are trying a special reflective
paint on the hydrant tops. This should make the. hydrants
more visible at night for both the fire department and
the snow plow crews.
Shore Colony.
The pumping station at Shore Colony was cleaned and painted
both inside and out side. Again this month the raw water
sample at Shore Colony was unsatisfactory.

Superintendent of Highways, Bernard J, Codner recommended that the
Town Board should study further the possibility of developing a
town wide garbage collection operation.
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT FOR MOBILE HOME
RESOLUTION NO. 217, INtroduced by.Mr. Lamgson, seconded by Mr. Turner.
WHEREAS, .Henry and June Clothier of R.F.D. #3 Cori th, Road, West
Glens FAlls,, New York, has made application in. accordance with
paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury
entitled: ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and Mobile
HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW;YOLR, TO
locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home _eourt
at property situated Lot #3 Burch Road, and
WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection
with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard
in favor of or against said application, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize
the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the
following reasons: There were no persons in appearance in opposition
to the granting of the permit. In the opinion of the Town Board
the property values': in the area will not be effected, there are
other mobile homes' in the area, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned
ordinance, permission is hereby given to Henry and June Clothier
of R.F.D. #1 Corinth Road, West Glens Falls, New York to locate
a mobile home outside of a licensed mobile home court, at property
situated at Lot #3 Burch Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with
the terms and conditions of said ordinance.
