e: Complaint of June 14, 2018; Case#FPB -000248- 0I S
John O'Brian, served complaint
Dear Sirs:
I am responding to the above referenced complaint. The complainant and I have property
adjoining each other aiRd it is a wooded area.
The complainant has three boys and they were tossing hard balls into my back yard. They are
known to shoot fireworks off on July 4, 2017, I requested that they avoid my yard as a
playground to no avail. This complaint is simply retaliation and she pursued it with a vengeance,
I purchased this home on July 3, 2012 and had to do major repairs as the inspector neglected to
eta a thorough job. I had to put a new root~on, the furnace had a hole in it as the kilter had not
been changed since 2009. All windows were opened from the top to allow carbon monoxide out.
The curtains were covering it due to the poor condition of the fumaoe. This pat my life in
danger. The garage door had to be replaced as it was falling apart, just missing my car. The
sliding glass boor leading to the deck was in disrepair and could not be closed; a wooden stick
was used to keep it in place, The deck itself was in very bad condition which I had to replace.
The hot water heater was leaning so that also was replaced. deedless to say, the money that I
had is no larger available.
The washing machine leaked and had to be replaced, The shed that was in the back was fatting
apart and I gave it to a neighbor who said he could use it. I replaced it with a more attractive
structure.
The person that I purchased this home from is Joseph and Jacqueline McMurray who lied as to
when this house was built. I had to do my own research through the Town of Queensbwy only
to find out it was built its 1995 as opposed to 2 00 0. The roof was on, however, there were no
windows or doors on the Douse for those five years.
Joseph McMurray offered to sell me a lot of land adjacent to mine that is still vacant which did
not be]Ong to him. Mr. McMurray told me that the Iand was worth S 65,000 but he'would sell it
to me for $1 ,000.
T tin a 7 -year-old widow with a few medical issues. i have improved the landscape ofthiS
property and I have tried to comply with a]I requirements of the Town of ueensbury; however,
I have no funds for a now survey.
Please consider my request for a waiver to meet the new survey requirements. 1 would I Hce to
use my 2000 suety with the existing gazebo on it(sec enclosed photos). The oxisting house is
on the survey.
Thank you for your consideration.
Respectfully,
env
Barbara J. Reynolds
