The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
The following visitors were greeted by Supervisor Webster:

Supervisor Webster declared the public hearing open on the application
of William Durham to locate a mobile home on Pinello Road.
Proof of publication was presented by the clerk.
Reading of the notice was dispensed with at this time.
The clerk summarized the original application,
Supervisor Webster requested a voice from any persons in opposition
or in favor of the granting of the permit.
There were none;
The public hearing was declared closed at 7:40 p.m. —
Action on the granting of the permit will take place after discussion
on location of the mobile home is accomplished with Mr. Durham,
Mr. Alfred Green was granted the floor. Mr. Green requested an
opinion from the Town Board as to when he could expect the Junk Yard
license which was applied for some time ago.
Mrs. Florence Mcllvaine representing the Post Star visited the
meeting at this time.
Mr. Green advanced the statement that he has started construction of
the -required fence for his Junk Yard and that he intends to comply
with the rules of the ordinance after his license is issued.
Councilman Robertson stated thatit is the intent of the Town Board
to eventually force compliance with the Junk Yard Ordinance when
adopted.
Supervisor Webster discussed the present status of all Junk Yards
within the Town of Queensbury.
Mr. John Cashion was heard at this time. Mr. Cashion registered
objections to saddle horses continually traveling in the highway
near his residence on 2nd Street, West Glens Falls.

Mr. Clifford Witham was greeted at the meeting at this time.
Mr. Witham was granted the floor. A discussion ensued on the Wemple
Bill which has been discussed in the past by Mr. Witham and the
Town Board.

Restricted Highway, which restrict all traffic pursuant to
Section 104A of the Highway Law.
All of Glens Falls-East Lake George, Pt. 19 S.H. 1666 between
Station 0+00 and 208+90, 3.94 mi. and a portion of Glens Falls-
East Lake George, Pt. 2, S.H. 1813 between Station 0+19 and 87+50,
1.64 mi. , Town of Queensbury, RC 66-43, Warren County, is hereby
designated as a restricted highway.
The number and location of signs as shown on Standard Sheets
No. 64-43A and 64-43B are to be erected by the ,Contractor in
accordance with instructions issued by the District Office Con-
struction Supervisor.

All water mains in the Twicwood Sub-Division were activated and re-
checked. This involved -some 2710 + feet of 8 inch and 1720 + feet
of inch cement lined cast iron pipe, 6 hydrants -and 16 valves in-
stalled by the developer.
This department •installed -extensions on the hydrants at the North
end of the Bay Road Main to bring .them up the grade.
During the month a consumption -report -for 1965-65-66 was prepared .
and along with other engineering data was presented to Camp,Dresser
and McKee, Engineers for the intermunicipal water study.
We also met with Mr. Kestner to go over the clean- up on the Bay ,
Road- water project. At the same time we discussed our testing
program for additional sources of supply and miscellaneous problems
at the plant.
The New York State Health Department completed their annual in-
spection of the treatment plant and we expect to receive their
report in the near future.
Brown Brothers and Henry Sleight performed additional work on well
number 4. The firm of Brown Brothers still has some additional
work to be dompleted.
Their was one water main break during the month. This was in the
8 inch main at the Adirondack Community College site on Bay Road.
This main was broken by the contractor installing the ,sewer line
and was repaired by Hollisters.
-We have developed a operations schedule and treatment .progr4m where
by we can maintain the iron content of our wells at a minimum. As
a part of developing this program I had the results checked thru the
office of Dr. Aullenbeck, our consulting chemist in Troy. This had
not been done since last year and I felt that it was necessary at
this time. Mr. Kestner was aware of this step.

Councilman Robertson reported that he has requested assistance in
the planning of the proposed street traffic lights on Aviation Road,
in the vicinity of the Queensbury Schools.
Bernard J. Codner- Superintendent of Highways reported on the status
of the delivery of the new street sweeper which was purchased some
time ago. Mr. Codner stated that changes of an improvement nature
will be included in the sweeper when same is received.
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE BID OPENING FOR WATER MAIN CONTRACT
RESOLUTION NO. 125, --Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Robertson.
WHEREAS, this board has reviewed the contract documents prepared by,
Joseph A. Kestner, pertaining to the installation of Water Mains in
the Route 9 Water District -
RESOLVED that these documents are hereby approved and that the clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice to water main
contractors announceing A bidopening at 7:30 p.m. an June 23, 1966
at the usual meeting place of this board.

RESOLUTION TOACCEPT DEED FOR TOWN HIGHWAY
RESOLUTION NO. 126, introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Beaty.
WHEREAS, Kenneth C. Morehouse and Evelyn F. Morehouse, of Mountainview
Lane, Town of Queensbury, have executed and offered a deed ,-to convey
to the Town of Queensbury .a street, 50 feet in width, to be known as
John Clendon Road as shown on a map entitled "Map of John Clendon Road"
dated April 14, 1965 by Earl D. Armstrong, revised 9/2/1965 and 11/8/1965
and
WHEREAS, Curtis Smith and Laois Smith, of John Clendon Road, Town of
Queensbury, have executed and offered a deed to convey a temporary
easement and right to use -a driveway _for .the purposes of turning
around highway equipment near the present terminus of ,John Clendon Road,
and
WHEREAS, Bernard J. Codner, Superintendent of Highways, has advised
this board that he ,recommends the acceptance of this street and
temporary easement into the town highway system, ,and
WHEREAS, Thomas K. Flaherty, Superintendent of the Queensbury Water
- Department, has advised this board that the water mains have been
completely installed, with hydrants, in this proposed road,. now there-
fore be it
RESOLVED, that subject to the approval of County Attorney Albert E.
Beswick, the deeds as above described, are hereby accepted and
approved, and that the Town,Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to cause said deeds to be recorded in the Warren County Clerk' s
Office, and then filed in the office of the Town Clerk, and be it
further

Supervisor Webster discussed the plans to re-Locate the path of
the highway on Pinecrest Drive. Mr. Webster reported on receipt
of a summons which has been served on the Town of Queensbury to
cause a settlement of the question of changing -the highway at
this time.
Supervisor Webster reported that he has received the purchase
contract for the 4 new voting machines which will be ordered to
supply the new voting districts which will result from the -.
redistricting which is in progress at this time.
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PURCHASE CONTRACT
RESOLUTION NO. 127, Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Turner.
WHEREAS, this board is proceeding with plans to re-district the
town from the present 9 election districts to 13 election
districts, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the redistricting will become effective
on 10-1-1966 and that 4 additional voting machines will be re-
quired for the November 1966 elections, and
WHEREAS, the 1966 town -budget did ,not make any provisions for the —
purchase of additional voting machines, be it
RESOLVED, that the purchase .of 4 additional voting machines,
New York type, equipped with Printed Mechanism, at a price of
$1,726.00 per machine F.O.B. Jamestown, New York, is hereby
authorized, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the supervisor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute a purchase contract for said machines, between the
town and the Automatic Voting Machine Company, payable on or
before 3/1/1967. -

RESOLUTION TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION
FOR YOUTH,, FOR APPROVAL OF RECREATION PROJECT.
RESOLUTION NO. 128, Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Turner.
WHEREAS, the 1966 Town Budget has made provisions for a cQntinuation
of the Town Recreation Program, and
WHEREAS, IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE TOWN IS eligible to receive state
aid under the State of New York Division for Youth, therefore be it

RESOLUTION NO. 128A, Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Turner.
RESOLVED, that application to the New York State Division for Youth
for a Hometown Beautification Project is hereby authorized and
that the Supervisor of the town is hereby authorized and directed
to execute such application on behalf of the Town of Queensbury.

such application on behalf of the Town of Queensbury.

The Directors report of the Queensbury Recreation Commission was
received and placed on file. The report constituted the summer program
of activity, which will be carried out by the commission.
RESOLUTION NO. 129, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Turner.
RESOLVED, that the following Town Officer' s be and are hereby authorized
to attend the meeting of the Town and Officer' s Training School of the
State of New York, to be held at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York,
on July 11th - 12th and 13th, 1.966.

— RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING
RESOLUTION NO. 130, introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Robertson.
WHEREAS, Mrs. Alfred H. Pelkey of Marion Avenue, Warrensburg, New York,
has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4,
of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE
REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE, HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside
of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated outside ofa
duly licensed mobile home court at property situated Big Bay Road,
West Glens Falls, New York, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application complies with
the requirements of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS, IT is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this
board, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned
ordinance, the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said
application on June 6, 1966 at 7:30 p.m. in the _library of Queensbury
Junior High School, Aviation Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to give proper notice of said public hearing
in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance.

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AMUSEMENT RIDES AT FIREMANS1° FIELD DAYS
RESOLUTION NO. 132, Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Turner.
RESOLVED that, permission is hereby granted to the West Glens Falls
Volunteer Fire Company, to sponsor Kelloggs Amusement Rides at
Fireman' s Field, Luzerne Road, •West Glens Falls, -New York, on
June 2nd through June 5th in connection with Firemans' Field Day
exercises, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to issue the requested permit provided that a certificate of
insurance is filed with the Town Clerk verifying Public LiabOlity
Coverage with limits of at least$100,000/300,00 for the period
covered by said permit.

Supervisor Webster called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
The following visitors were greeted by the Supervisor:

Lowell Hill - Special Policeman
Mr. Lowell Hill, Special Policeman advised the Town Board, that the
efforts to clean up refuse in locations where complaints have been
received, is progressing in a. normal manner.
The minutes of the meetings of May 26th and June 2, 1966 were approved.
Carried unanimously.
The clerk presented applications for Mobile Home permits from the
