RESOLITED that, prior to the abandonment of the unused right of way
for Ames Place and the conveyance thereof to Griffin Lumber Company
and priortto the acceptance.of the deed from Griffin Lumber Company
for the right of way for the relocated Ames P14ce, t$at Griffin
Lumber Company shall at its expense open up and put to a width and
grade approved by the Town Superintendent of Highways the right of
way for the relocation of Ames Place and that thereafter Ames Place,
as relocated, shall be a town highway and be improved and maintained-
by the Town of Queensbury.

Supervisor Webster discussed the content of the Annual Budget as
prepared by the Town. Board, and announced the public hearing open.
Proof of publication was presented by the clerk.
Reading of the "Notice" for the Public Hearing on the Preliminary
Budget was dispensed with at this time.
Mr. Harold Robillard spoke in behalf of the West Glens Falls Rescue
Squad. Mr. Robillard stated that the expenditures of the squad have
been $3000.00 ,per year. A discussion of the services rendered the
public at large was advanced by Mr. Robillard.
Mr,, John Flowers of the Bay Ridge Rescue Squad group spoke on the
subject of services being rendered by all Rescue Squads in the area.
Mr. Scott Hopkins stated that a sizeable number of calls for the
Rescue Squads are to carry persons who are confined at the West Mount
Infirmary.
Supervisor Webster explained the result of checking on the legality
which-would ,allow the Town of Queensbury to provide financial
assistance to the Rescue Squads, who have made the requests.
Mr. Webster stated that the Town Board has a legal right to increase
the ,Annual Budget for an amount of $3000.00, which would be distributed
at the rate of $1000.00 each to the three fire companies who provide
ambulance service.
Mr. Scott Hopkins discussed the activity of the West Glens Falls
RescueSquad for the years 1963-1964 and part of the year 1965.
Mr. James Dempsey, discussed the section of the budget entitled
1'ub1.ic Safety, which is intended to provide additional Police Protection
within the Town of Queensbury.
Mr. LeRoy Phillips, Chief of Police, questioned the Town Board as to
the legality of the item under "Education", which provide support
for the Lake George Opera Festival.
Attorney Glcn Caffry voiced support of the allocation of $5000.00
for the benefit of the Lake George Opera Festival. Mr: Caffry
commended the Town Board for the allocation of $10,000.00 for the
;Crandell Library in the,City of Glens Falls.
Mr. "Mickey" Griffin presented a map of a proposed subdivision,
which he is-in the process of developing. The request for acceptance
of a section of highway will be answered following approval of the
Town of Queensbury Planning Board.

Mr. Paul Rowland approached the Town Board to encourage action
on granting a permit for locating a Mobile Home outsid-a of a
duly licensed Mobile Home Court. Action will be taken at a later
time in this meeting. ,
Mr. Gary L. Wickes appeared to further request action on his
application to locate a Mobile Home in the Town of Queensbury.
A public hearing will be arranged at a later date;
Mr. Daniel A. Corentto approached the Town Board to question the
result of action which would allow him to locate-a Mobile Home
in the Town of Queensbury. Action will be taken at a-later
time this meeting.
RESOLUTION NO. 253, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by
Mr. Robertson.
WHEREAS, James A. Davidson was appointed by the Town Board as
Justice of the Peace to fill the vacancy in that office caused
by the death of Andrew Butz, and
WHEREAS, it is provided by subdivision 5 of Section 64 of the
Town Law that the person appointed to fill a vacancy in the
office of Justice of the Peace shall hold office until the next
annual election at which the vacancy may be filled, and
WHEREAS, at the election held -on November -2, 1965, James A.
Davidson waselected for a full term to commence on January 1,
1966, be it
RESOLVED that James A. Davidson be and he hereby is appointed
Justice of the Peace of the Town of Queensbury for a term to .
commence on the date of the adoption of this resolution and to
expire on December 31, 1965. ,

bidder on the general construction, discussed the back ground of
the company which he represents.
RESOLUTION No. 255, introduced by Mr. Webster, seconded by Mr. Lampson.
WHEREAS, the 'down Board duly advertised for sealed bids for the
construction of the new town office building according to plans
and specifications therefor prepared by Milton L. Crandell,
Architect, and such bids were publicly opened and read by the
Town Board on October 28, 1965, and it appears that Skyway Con-
struction Co. , Inc. , with a bid of $98,426.00 was the lowest
bidder for the general construction work; that Hollister' s Plumbing
& Heating Corp. , with a -bid of $26,847.00 was the lowest bidder for
the heating and ventilating work; that Mace Plumbing-Heating, with a
bid of $8,800.00 was the lowest bidder for the plumbing work; and
that Ganter Electrical Company with a bid of $16,450.00 was the
lowest bidder for the electrical work, and
WHEREAS, said bids have been checked by the Town Board and by the
office of Milton L. Crandell, Architect, and have been found proper,

RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury accept and it
hereby does accept the bid of Skyway Construction Co. , Inc. , in the

RESOLUTION NO. 256, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Larlpson.
RESOLVED, that permission is hereby granted to Queenpbury Plaza, Inc. ,
Glens Falls, New York, to sponsor a Fire Works Display at the above
address on November 11, 1965, under the following conditions:
1. That a certificate of insurance in the amount of $100,000 each
person, $300,000 each accident and $25,000 property damage is
filed with the Town Clerk.
• 2. That the- Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company gives its
approval- to the Town Clerk concerning hatters of fire safety.

Work Completed: Queensbury
Supervision of the various projects and the preparation of the
November water bills comprised the bulk of the work during the
month of October.
At the present time private contractor$ are in the process of
installing approximately 6960 +- feet ,of 6 inch and 3280 +- feet
of cast iron water mains along with the necessary hydrants and
fittings in several sub-divisions under construction in the town,
All of which come under the supervision of this department.
This department was involved with the supervision of the Bay Road
water project and the South,Queensbury and West Glens Falls Water
projects. During the month men from the consulting engineers
office have been doing extensive field work in the West Mountain
Road, West Glens Falls, and theSouth Queensbury Areas.
All water meters were read and both meter and flat rate bills were
mailed.
Employees of this department installed 300+- feet of 8 inch cast
iron main on Wincrest Drive in order to complete the water main in
that area and to improve the service to the several homes there.
With the cooperation of the West Mount Infirmary the 6 inch line
from the west mountain tank was shut down and a new cut in valve
was installed. This was done in order that the water main in the
area of the West Mountain Road relocation work could be replaced_
by the County Highway Department. We, also repaired a Bleak that
developed in the water main on the grounds of the infirmary.

- for use by the Water Department for water treatment during 1966, to
meet the following specifications:
SPECIFICATIONS FOR POLYPHOSPHATES
AMOUNT, 5 Ton to be delivered to Town of Queensbury Water Department
in 1 ton lots as ordered. The material must be packaged in
containers not to exceed 100 lbs.
TYPES Materials shall be Non Glassy Polyphosphate Granular, Spray
dried, blended to a specification -of Ph of 9.8 solubility,
15 grams in 100 ML water at 60 degrees temperature.

State Department of Health and of the United States -Pure Food
and Drugs Division. Proof of such approval shall be_ submitted with

pound delivered. Also as total price.
The Queensbur� Water Department shall reserve the right to request
the bidder to submit a sample of the material for laboratory
