Mr. Gary Wickes - Applicant for Mobile Home permit. Mr. LeRoy Phillips - Chief of Police Supervisor Webster announced the opening of Bids for suppl#tug Poly Phrosphate to be used by the Queensbury Water Department. Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk. Reading of the Notice was dispensed with at this time. Supervisor Webster announced the opening of Bids to supply the Highway Department with two Dump Trucks at this time. Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk. Edward J. Waters RESOLUTION TO APPOINT DOG ENUMERATOR FOR 1166 RESOLUTION NO. 265, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Beaty. WHEREAS, annually in November of each year the town board of each town shall appoint a resident or residents . or designate the police department to prepare a list of persons in such town owning or harboring dogs, therefore be it RESOLVED, that Edward J. Waters be and he hereby is appointed Dog Enumerator, under the provisions of Section 108 of the Argiculture and Markets Law, for the year 1966. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Naes'- N©ne The Supervisor declared the Public Hearing open on the application of Mr.- and -Mrs. G.H. LaMora to locate a Mobile Home outside of a duly licensed Mobile Home Court at 8:00 p.m. Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk. The reading of the Notice was dispensed with at this time. Supervisor Webster requested a voice from any persons in opposition to the granting of the permit. The following persons voiced opposition at this time: Mr. Lester Viele, Jr. e Mr. Kenyon LaPoint Mrs. Albert Hazelton Mr. Donald Moon - r . , Supervisor Webster requested a Jroice .of opinion. from any persons in favor of the granting of the permit in question. Mrs. G. H. LaMora stated that the granting of the permit would be of great assistance to them. The public-hearing was declared closed at 8:15 p.m. 274- The opinion of the Town Board in this matter was voiced that : further investigation would t-hke place at. an early date. Mr. Fred Hay visited the meeting at this time. .Supervisor Webster declared the Public Hearing open to do with the application of Gary L. Wickes to locate a Mobile Home outside of a duly licensed Mobile Home Court at 8:15 p. m. Proof ,of Publication was presented by the clerk. Reading of the Notice was dispensed with at this time. The original application was read in part by the clerk. Supervisor Webster requested a voice from any persons in opposition to the granting of the permit. There were none. Supervisor Webster requested a voice from any persons in favor of granting of the permit. There were none. The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8:25 p. m, The Supervisor stated that following discussion it is the opinion of the Town Board that the permit would be granted at a later ,, . time at this meeting. Mr. Fred Hay was granted the floor. Mr. Hay discussed the problem of securing additional land from the City of Glens Falls, which would change a narrow access road to a legal width road which could be accepted at a later date as a town highway. The -Town Board in its -entirety agreed that the ,City of Glens Falls will be contacted to try and arrive at the request to relieve-the problem at this location. Chief of Police, LeRoy Phillips was granted the flgo-; at this time. A request was made by Mr. Phillips to the Town Board, - that advertising for bids to provide a police car for use of the Police Department would be-practical at this time. RESOLUTION N0, 266, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Robertson - WHEREAS, the present contract between the Abalene Post Control Service, Inc. , and the Town of Queensbury, for extermination of rats and rodents at the tefusdud*sposal area expires November 30, 1965, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the contract with Abalene Pest Control, for extermination of rats -and rodents at the town refuse disposal area, for a stipulated fee of $244.00 per year, payable at $20.00 permonth, for a period commencing December 1, 1965 and ending November 30, 1966 be and the same is hereby approved, and be it further, — RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and hereby is authorized and directed to sign such contract on behalf of the Town of. Queensbury. With this in mind and according to my figures it will place the bid of Ricciardelli Feed & Grain Store as low bid. The fact that we have had very good service in the past and-:can get salt at any time - night or day- as his storage is right in.. - the city, I would feel that the bid should be awarded to the Riccidiardelli Feed & Grain Store. Ricciardelli Feed and Grain Store of Glens Falls, New York in the amount of $20.80 per ton in 100 lb. bags delivered to the Town Storehouse, and $13.80 per ton delivered in bulk to the Town Storehouse, appears to be the ` lowest bid of the three submitted, now ° Therefore be- it RESOLVED, that the bid of J. Wic es of 3 Main Street, Warrensburg, New York, has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4; of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN-OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN .COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home" court at property` situbted Burch Road off Luzerne Road, and ' WHEREAS,, this town board has conducted a- public hearing in connection with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in favor of or against said application, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the following reasons: No persons appeared in opposition. It is the opinion of the Town Board that the granting of the permit would not have adverse effect on-property values in the area, therefore be it RESOLVED.- that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to Gary L. Wickes of 3 Main Street, Warrensburg, New York to locate a mobile home outside of a licensed mobile home court, at property situated at Burch Road off Luzerne Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the terms and conditions of said ordinance. Noes - None 278 The clerk presented an application to locate a Mobile Hume outside of a duly licensed Mobile Home Court, which has been presented by Mr. Robert Benton. RESOLUTION `TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING RESOLUTION NO, 270, °introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Turner. WHEREAS, Robert Benton of 12 Seminary Street, Fort Hdwaxd, New York, has made application in accordance with paragraph Z- (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated Burch Road and Dean Drive, West Glens Falls, New York, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application complies. with the requirements of said ordinance, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application are sufficient to justify-further consideration by this board, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said application on December 2, 1965, at 7:30 p.m. in the library of Queensbury Junior High School, Aviation Road, and that the town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give proper notice of said public hearing in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance.
