To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter in supplement with my deck building permit application for tax map
number 296.69-1-4, also known as 2 Queens Way Queensbury. I am requesting a building
permit for an open deck for the exterior of the rear of the home. The specs of the house are
below as well as in the attached drawing.
The deck will be 19.5 feet long by 10 feet deep. The foundation of the deck will be supported by
three 8 inch concrete columns that are 48 inches long. The columns will be placed parallel with
the building and equally spaced from one another. The deck will be secured by the columns and
being anchored to the house. The framing of the deck will consist of 2x6's with the joist being
seperated 16" o.c. There will be no railings or stairs, and only contains one 6" step down that
will be located 10 feet at the end of the deck.
