Whereas, the Town Superintendent of Highways did on the 7th day of November, 1963 duly recommend the purchase of certain equipment, pursuant to Section 142. of the Highway Law, now therefore be it, RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 142 of the Highway Law,, the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to purchase, in accordance with the provisions of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, and with the approval of the County Superintendent of Highways,, the f ollowi ; One, new 1964 Ford F-700 Cab and Chassis, complete, as per specif ications, from Parsons of Glens Fa11s, Inc. , for a maximum price of $6112.00, delivered at the Queensbury Storehouse, Town of Queensbury, and to be delivered on or about January 1, 1964.. The Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized, subject to the approval of the County Superintendent of Highways, to surrender to the vendor: One 1954 International 170 cab & chassis, as part payment for the above equipment^ to be purchased. The terms of payment will be as follows: Trade in allowance $1527.00 Check from Machinery Fund 4585,00 TOTAL 6112.00 A contract of purchase for the item purchased shall be duly executed between the Town Superintendent of Highways and such vendor, and when duly approved by the-Lounty Superintendent of Highways it shall become effective. When such contract has been duly executed and approved, the Supervisor is authorized to complete such purchase upon delivery of the item purchased in accordance with the terms of this resolution, and such contract, and to pay the amount specified to be paid by a check drawn on the Machinery Fund (Item #3) in the amount of $4585,00.
