The following Annual Multiple Dwelling Inspection report for 1963, and an application for employment was read by the clerk and placed on file. All Multiple ,Dwellings in the Town of Queensbury have been in- spected by me. . A complete report on the Lockhart Nursing Home has been presented to the Town Board for condiderationof the fire hazards in the building. . , Monthly new construction reports have been presented to each Fire Company in the Torn, Respgctfully submitted, Leslie A. RESOLVED, that the following Town officers be and are hereby authorized to attend the annual meeting of the Association of Towns of the State of New York to be held at New York City, N. Y. February 10, 11, and 12, 1964. Supervisor Justice of Peace Councilmen Town Clerk Deputy Town Clerk Receiver of Taxes Superintendent of Highways Assessors Peace Officers FURTHER RESOLVED, that the actual and necessary expenses of any Town Officers attending such meeting be and the same are Town Charge. Further RESOLVED, that Supervisor Webster be and is hereby authorized to cast the vote of the Town. of Queensbury, and in his absence, Mr. Turner is to cast the vote of the Town. . RESOLVED, that the hourly- rates for town employees, beginning with the first payroll period of 1964 be and hereby fixed as follows. RESOLVED, that John VanDusen be retained as Town Surveyor and that the supervisor be and is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the said John VanDusen covering such services on the same Terms and on the conditions as heretofore. Noes - None si RESOLUTION NO. 9 Introduced by Mr. Lampson, seconded by Mr. Beaty. RESOLVED, that purchase of materials, supplies and tools for the Highway Department may be made by the Town Superintendent of Highways without the prior approval of the Town Board where the cost thereof does not exceed an aggregate of $500.00 during the fiscal year. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr, Turner, Mr. Lampson and Mr. Webster. Noes - None RESOLUTION —NQ.—IQ Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Lampson. RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes the Town Superintendent of Highways to purchase needed sand and gravel for use on the Town Highways at a cost thereof not to.exceed $.10. pertyard. . RESOLVED, that the sum of $.08 a mile be and is hereby allowed for the actual and necessary use of the automobiles of a Town officer in the performance of his duties.. Crannell, Town Clerk, has appointed Marion J. Crannell and Carol C. Webster as Deputy Town Clerk; Therefore be it RESOLVED that these two Deputy Town Clerks appointed by the Town Clerk shall have the power to perform all duties of the Town Clerk, and such further duties ,as the .Town Board may determine, not in consistent with law. WHEREAS, due to the increase of business being conducted in the Town Clerk's office it is deemed advigeable to provide compensation for one deputy. Therefore be it $ESOLVED that the compensation of Marion J. Crannell, Deputy Town Clerk, be and the same is hereby fixed at the rate of $800.00 per year. Crannell, Registrar of Vital Statistics , has .appointed Marion J, Crannell as Deputy Registrar. f 3 Therefore be it 4ESOLVED, that Marion J. Crannell shall have the power to perform all duties of the Registrar of Vital Statistics and such further duties as the Town Board may determine, not consistent with law.
