Gilbert to locate ,a mobile home outside of a mobile home court. Proof of publication was presented by the clerk. The application for the permit was read by the clerk. With no persons appearing either for or against the application the hearing was declared closed. z Town Board ; Town of Queensbury Warren County, New .Yoxk Ref: Application for Building Inspector Gentlemen: I am interested and are hereby applying -for the office of Building Inspector, to be created in the Town of Queensbury. . I am a r@siden� of the Town of Queensbury and live in my own home at 29 Parkview Avenue with my wife and two children. I have been engaged in building construction since my graduation from Glens Falls High School, as Carpenter and presently as a foreman for the Duplex Construction,Co. , for, this entire period. I believe I have a general knowledge of all phases of construction involving all crofts, trade, and professions. I have knowledge of_ Fire_ Prevention and Fire Protection including inspection procedures, beitig a member, in good standing, of the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company for some 11 years. I am presently the lst Assistant Chief of the above company, and served as its Secretary for 8 years. -- I am a member of the Town of Queensbury Republican Committee, and have taken an active part in Town affairs both politically and socially, I am a member of the First Baptist Church of Glens Falls, in which I am also active serving as a member of the Board of Christian Education, Troop 1 Scout Committeeman, and Vice President of the Couples Club. 302 Realizing that much consideration on the part of the Town Board will go into the selection of the candidate for this office, and that others applying for this office might have far greater qualifications than I. The clerk was requested to copy these bids and forward same to the U.S. Pape & Foundry Co. The clerk read an application from Mr. Kenneth Bonner requesting permission to locate a mobile home outside of a mobile home court. STATE TRAFFIC COMMISSION 130 Ontario St. , Albany, New York September 8, 1964 File -1666 6-977 WARREN COUNTY NOTICE OF TRAFFIC COMMISSION ACTION The State Traffic -Commission takes the following action with respect to traffic control On Route 9L, SH 1666, at its intersection with the East-West Glens Falls By-Pass, Route 254, SH 6562 in the Town of Queensbury, Warren County: Revises specifications for Signal No. 19 j to provide for dual indications The order for this signal filed with the Secretary of State is identified as Section 2052.10, subdivision (h), of the regulations of the State Traffic Commission. - An amendment for the above change is dated Sept. 8, 1964. To complete this action, the New York State Department of Public Works is to operate and maintain this signal in conformance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices of the,New York State Traffic Commission and-the attached specifications. Webster, Supervisor Re: Queensbury Water District City Attorney Earl Matte has called me, and asked whether the deed from the Town to the City conveying the mains in Fort Amherst Road and the contract between the Town and the City for water service to Queensbury residents on that street has been signed and said that 303 pressure was being put on him by the Water Department to get the matter closed. •I believe the matter of executing the deed and agreement was held up until you could see what the City Water Department would do about the customers on Bullard Avenue. Webster, Supervisor P Re: Cale Development Corporation On laturday, Septnmb-er 5`,` I had a call at my cottage by phoney"from Mr. Basloe stattng 'that' the Title Company had approved the title of the small parcel the Town is selling Cale Development and that he -was sending` me a check 'for $1,500.00 ,to be held in escrow until -the deed had been' executed and recorded and the final certificate received from the Title Company. So far the check has not arrived but if and when it does, I shall be in touch with you. Albert E`Beswick County Attorney Mr. Robert Ruggles a builder approached the Town Board to discuss drainage facilities in .the `Broadacres Section. Mr. Bernard J. Codner, Superintendent of Highways, recommended that a small addition to the present drainage system shout be installed to assure proper drainage for the home under construdt-ion ,by Mr. Ruggles. The reports of New Construction for August, 1964 were received and placed on file. There were 13 reports reeeived­during the month. RESOLUTION NO. 158 Introduced by-Mr; Turner, seconded by Mr. Lampson. WHEREAS, this Town Board on September 10, 1964, audited and approved claim # 912 of Steiner' s in the -amount 6f= $5,19, against the General Fund for Recreation, ,under resolution•#157, as -listed in Abstract #64-9, totaling $11,467.24, and WHEREAS, it has now been determined that there was an error in this claim having been also audited as claim -#863 -against the Q4eensbury -Water Department, therefore be it RESOLVED, that Audit #912 be and the same is hereby voided in the amount of $5. 19, and that the total of Abstract #64-9 is hereby amended to total $11,462.05. Duly adopted by the following vote: -- Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Noes - None 304 RESOLUTION TO DESIGNATE POLLING PLACE FOR REGISTRAT(LON DAYS IN DISTRICT #6, TOWN OF QUEENSBURY , RESOLUTION NO. 159 Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded .by Mr. Robertson. WHEREAS, the Queensbury School, Aviation Road, has already been designated as the polling place for District #6 of the Town of Queensbury, under resolution #110 adopted June 25, 1964, and WHEREAS, due to a conflict in the scheduling of the use of the building, the Queensbury Junior High School will not be available for the first day of registration, 10/3/1964, but will be available as usual on 'the second day of registration on 10/10/1964, and on election day 11/3/1964, therefore be .it . . RESOLVED, that this board hereby authorizes and fixes the Queensbury Senior -High School to be the place of registration for Bistrict #6 of the Town of Queensbury .on October 3, 1964, and hereby authorizes and fixes the Queensbury Junior High School as the place of registration on October 10, 1964, as we41 as the place of voting for the General Election on November 3, 1964, for -Election District # 6, of the Town of Queensbury. , Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes- Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Gilbert of 83 Mainf treet, Glens Falls 40, New York, has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside —' of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated on . Pinello Road off Corinth Roads Behind Grooms Trailer Court, and WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public heariilg in connection with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in • favor of or against said application,' and WHEREAS, it is hereby .determined that the facts presented in ,said application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the `permit requested by said application, for the following reasons: Applicant purchased Mobile Home prior to the effective date of the ordinance. Investigation has shown that granting this request will not have an adverse effect on property values in the immediate areas. therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to ,Willtar H. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster Noes - None 305 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING RESOLUTION NO. 161 Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Beaty. WHEREAS, Kenneth Bonner of Mountain View Lane, Glens Falls, New York, has made application in accordance with paragraph 2. (c), Section 42 of an ordinance of tibiqETown of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW- YORK,- to licate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated - On West Mountain Road at Corner of Mountain View Lane, and WHEREAS,, it is hereby determined .that said application oomplies with the requirements of said ordinance, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this board, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said application on October 1, 1964, at 7:30 p.m. in the library of Queensbury Junior High School, Aviation Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized anal directed to give proper notice of said public hearing in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance. Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster Noes None A lengthy study took place at this time to due with the town roads in the present Highway System.
