The following letter to do vtth a decision. ofa the, Quoensbury Water -- District was presented to the Town Board. _ QUEENSBURY WATER DISTRICT NOT TO CURTAIL WATER USE,., Meeting in special session, the town board took note of the new emergency restrictions on the use of water imposed by the City of Glens Falls While it is important during this dry weather period that water should not be wa-sted, this new order will not apply to the people in the Queensbury Water District served by the Queensbury' s own supply. Hoses will still be permitted from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p. m. daily as before. The supply .of water in the Queensbury well field has proven to be completely dependable during this extended period of drought. The recent action of the City of Glens Falls Water Board restricts completely all outside use of hoses at any time. These new and drastic restrictions automatically apply in those areas of the town served by water purchased from `the city, such as West Glens Falls, under the terms of the contract with the City, and it applies to all direct customers of the city in the town, as the Broadacres area, Dixon Road area, and Reservoir Park. The Queensbury Water Department will cooperate with the City to see that the new order is complied with in those areas. It is anticipated that within a short time the remainder of the Queensbury-Water System, now served with water purchased from the City, will be returned to the town supply. 352 A discussion ensued to do with the recent decision of the Common Council of the City of Glens Falls, who refused the proposed extension of the Pershing-Ashley-Coolidge Sewer District, The Supervisor presented a letter for -discussion which he will refer to the Mayor of the City of Glens Falls.
