Harold Akins Councilman Following a joint meeting, in the_ Town Hall of the Town of Moreau with the representative of the New York State Bepartment of Health, Mr. Edward Howard; the meeting convened at 9:30 p. m. Mr. Joseph Kestner Jr. , the engineer on the proposed Water Supply system was present at the meeting. Mr. Webster reported to do with additional correspondence with the Attorney for Cale Development Company and County Attorney Albert- E. Beswick to do with the sale of the Pineview Cemetery frontage. The letter was read to the board at this time. Mr. Akins suggested that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury should price an opinion to the Warren County Representative in the New York State Assembly, W. -Richard C. Bartlett. - to-do- with the feelings.-of the residents of the Town of Queensbury, on the subject of Motor Vehicle License. Fees being raised at this time. The board in its entirety agreed that the. above mentioned increase in fees should not become a law. RESOLUTION NO. 39 introduced by Mr. Akins, seconded by Mr. Turner RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be authorized and directed to prepare a proper resolution to be forwarded to Assemblyman Richard Bartlett and Senator Eustis Paine, stateing our opposition to the increase of Automobile License fees for residents of the State of New York. Duly adopted by the following. vote: Ayes - M». Beaty., Mr, Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. -Akins and Mr. Webster. Noes - None X56 A discussion on the comprehensive sewer study as proposed by Mr. Edward Howard, of the New York State Department of Health took place at this time. Mr. Joseph Kestner, the engineer em- ployed.by the Town of Quaensbury was questioned as to his - opinion of the action to date. It appears that the proposal--of the representative of the health department to have a joint study with other municipalities is the system being enacted in all communities within the State of New York. The master water supply system was discussed. Mr. Kestner, assured the members of. the board that the cost figures as prepared for this system are adequate. as planned. A discussion was offered by Mr. Akins to do with the request for possible clerical assistance for Mr. Andrew R. Butz, Justice of the Peace. Arrangements may become possible to offer the assistance of the part time secretary who assists the Supervisor. at present. Action will take place as soon as possible. Mr, Webster, presented the following letter of receipt of the application for a grant to finance a part of the proposed Municipal Office Building for the Town of Queensbury. Under the Accelerated Public Works Program, the Community Facilities Administration has been assigned certain authorities, under which review and approval is givento specified types of grants for public works. At the present time, authorizations have been exhausted by grants already made and by approvable applications now in process. It is not likely, therefore, that action will be taken on this application at this time. It will be held on file in this office R without examination. .
