1963-02-09 SP 358 A discussion on the comprehensive sewer study as proposed by Mr. Edward Howard, of the New York State Department of Health took place at this time. Mr. Joseph Kestner, the engineer em- ployed.by the Torn of Queensburyr was questioned as to his -- opinion of the action to date. It appears that the proposal_of the representative of the health department to have a joint study with other municipalities is the system being enacted in all communities within the State of New York. The master water supply system was discussed. Mr. Kestner, assured the members of. the board that the cost .figures as prepared for this system are adequate- as planned._ A general discussion was enjoyed with. all members of the board taking part. Study,of the map of the storage tank location on the West Mountain Road was enjoyed at this time. The land owner at this location will be contacted for discussion on cost of the land in question. The pretimnary map of the proposed Queensbury Water District was studied at length with, all members of the board taking part. Following suggestion of some changes in district boundaries the discussion came to an end. - A report was submitted by Mr. Beaty, on the quotation of a developer Mr. Thomas Rogers, on the present value of a section of 611 water main which may be acquired for the new Queensbury Water- Supply System at the request of the Board, Mr. Beaty will contact the developer with a consideration of the Town of Queensbury which will increase the value of his property in return for relinquishing the -above`"m?.-rntioned. 6".. water-main-to-the-gown-of-Queensbury. ------ On motion the meeting was adjourned.
