The Honorable Members of the Town Board
Town of Queensbuty
Warren County, New York
Subject: Appointment of Town Assessor
Gentlemen:
As the Town of.Queensbury has now become oftfirst class
status and certain positions in the town government are open
to appointment by the Town Board, may these presents serve to
inform you of my desire that I should be appointed as assessor
for the term 1962.
I submit as -qualifications my twenty years is the 'build-
ing trades, as a carpenter and as an electrician, and my six
years as-a member of the Republican. Town Committee, giving me
both practical experience applicable to the judgement of asses-
sable values and a knowledge of the physical and political devel-
opment of the Town.
My deep- interest in the government of the Town of Queens-
bury leads me to the desire to serve the Town in some capacity.
I would, therefore, also submit my ten years experience as a
deputy sheriff, and the fact that, now operating my own electric-
al business, I would have no conflicting interests with any
position for which you may consider-me, as further qualifications
for appointment.
. Thanking you in advance for your kind consideration of this
application, I remain,. -
Respectfully yours,
LeRoy A. Phillips
Mr. George CrvtMell
