1961-01-02 ORG '1$1 will be formed through our encouragement. I believe that such a "Queen bury Chamber of Commerce could and would be able to do more than any of us on thie3 Board to further this particular effort. And finally, after we have had the opportunity to properly index our Town Ordinances, I feel that all the `ordinances should be carefully reviewed by the Board, or by a committee of the Board. These are just a few of my thoughts, and I am sure that you share` so6 or all of them with me, as we end out 1960 and prepare to enter the year 1961, " Respectfully submitted, ` John 0. Town of Queensbury Warren County Gentlemen: This -coAcerns the control of traffic on the Glens Falls East-west By-Pass which is currently being constructed by Warren County between Route 32 and Route 32B east of Glens Falls and, Route US9 north of `that City. A review of conditions at each of its four intersections with State Highways indicate that the control of traffic by a Stoo sign on the County Road in each instance, is desirable. We hays, therefore, designated the intersection as Stop inter- sections and directed the State Department of Public Works to install and maintain Stop signs. A copy of the order is enclosed`for the records of the Town. Providing for Stop signs on the County Road is not necessarily' the final action with respect to traffic control on' this new B#-pass. Once the new highway has beeU .opened to traffic and a definite traffic pattern established, conditions will be re-evaluated to deter&ine I proper control. You will be advised of any change in traffic control.
