Miller Member of Town Board Town of Queeusbury 5 Pershing Road Glens Valle , N.Y. Dear Stanr Re: Glens: Fal.laCoaaty Club; It was my understanding with,,Mr,.. Harrlek,Dsliorft County ~Superintendent, when the Country Cluboosperated with the Coupty in relocation of the so-called Blind Rock Road and the new road to Glen Lake that his department would cooperate with the mTown. Boerde.;fu making an application to the State Traffic Commission of the State of New Yark to• establish` a speed, zone in the area ruin& from, Rupso's Bound Pond Pavilion through to the intersection of the road going. to_Glem Lake for the following reasons: Because the Round Pbnd Pavilion both is a mi=er resort and a gathering place for children and picnic area for families there are an vausual number of people. . These same. children. ride their bicycles osier..what: in-known as the back read. from the area of the Country Club to Glens =Falls.- Also at the Country Club ..people playing number one ` creasing to number two, cross this highway at a point yhere there is quite a curve and unless cars are slowed down coming from State High- way #9 going east someone will be- hurt, This .is also true with refer- ence to people proceeding west with the slight uphill grade and people -going ever the road ,that passes taet"en numbex one green and number two tee. There are also a number of children. that go back and forth to the Count r Club that provides a beach and. travel a portion of this s rem iefit,;; 1e :. as some five hundred members and their families that go in and out. of the club from time to time and at the Country Club's ens•• trance there are a number of people who pass across over number nine 2 green. Along this is rather a blind curve creating;, & dangerous 'csa dition. At the extremre east end_where the intersection of the '_ Glen LakeRoad, Country Club Road and Blind Rock Road meet there A curve and this same. amount ,of traffic -of bicycles .going to Rout*=Pang Pavilion and Country Club bathing and people going in and out of.`he Glen Lake Road creates a traffic hazard. We therefore respectfully request and I am sure Mr. Russo'will join in this request for a thirty-five mile speed limit for the dis• trict, It Is my personal.opinion _that if the State Traffic Commission will make an investigation they will agree with the situation.
