Mr. Miller retat6dd that he was appointed officially to represent the I Republican Town Committee to report to the Town Board with the recom- mendation lepnirdeaodner be appointed to fill -- the vacancy caused by the death of Ernest .Lackey, Superintendent of Hiklmys, until December 31, 1958. - Resolution No. 97 introduced by Councilman Miller:: RESOLVED that Bernard Codner be appointed Tram Superintendent of Highways to fill the vacancy caused by the death. of Ernest Lackey. F X . At this point, Mr. Bentley asked if there were any other applica- tione for the office. The Clerk advised that no'applications had been received for appointment to the office of Road Commissioner at the office of the Town Clerk.. At this point in the meeting, Mr. Slack requested and was granted per- mission. to speak. Mr. Slack stated that he understood. Mrs. Lackey was interested in the appointment and suggested that action be deferred to give Mrs. Lackey an opportunity to file her application.. I The Board further discussed the matter. Thereupon, Mr. Akins seconded the resolution of Mr. Miller to appoint Bernard Codner to fill-the vacancy. kThe Sup6rvisor requested that a roll call be called on the resolution (NO* 9t) to appoint Mr. Codner Superintendent of Highways. Carey Co, specification 9C, a 20 year Bonded type smooth surface roof, using Carey material which is a com- bination, asphalt and asbestos felt. Allparapet walls ;hall be com- position base flashing according to- Carey specification, which requires 32# membrane base sheet, and two (2) plies of fibrook coated with Carey Nvahs pitch. - ASl gravel stop shall be 26 gauge galvanized iron. We will in- stall galvanized coping cap, 26 gauge over wood on parapet walls. All holes in wood sheeting shall be covered with 26, gauge galvanized iron before applying built-up roofing. All metal shall be formed to fit properly, lacked and soldered. _ On completion of job, premises shall be cleaned.
