Deer Harold:
You asked me to prepare a petition by your Town,Board Vo the
Public Service Commission in a proceeding to require the Delaware and
Hudson to install automatic,. signals on the Glen Lake crossing.
Acceding to my file, back in 1954 at the direction of the Town
Board, I wrote to Mr. Kelly of the legal department of" the Delaware &a:
Hudson, -who replied that they did not feel that the railroad could
warrant the expense of` installing the signals since there had been no
accident at -the crossing since 1915. I mailed the original of this
- letter od Mr. Harris on June 30, 1954.
Previous to that and on May 59: 19549 1 prepared a petition by
your Town Board to the Public Service Commission and mailed it to Mr.
Bentley en' that date but apparently the original was never executed and
returned to me.
Accordingly, I have drafted a new petition and a new resolution
authorising the proceeding, and enclose copies herewith. I should like `
two eopies of the petition executed and returned to me., with two cer -
tified copies of the resolution.
Yours very truly,
/sl Albert E. Beeswick: -
