According; to the records in the Warren County Clerk' s office and also t on our deed, the correct name of - our road is "Buttles Road". A few years ago, Mr.. LaclFey renamed the road "Potter Road" . Jesse and I both talked to him and told him that "Buttles Road" was-the legal npme, and. asked him to change the sign that he had put up. Last year when Mr... Akins was put in charge. of the town road signs, I called him aid asked him to see that our new sign was made out correct- lY• . , 4st week whin the 4ew signs weve, put up -- you've guessed it -- the sign read inporrectly "Potte:r,Road."'. Now don't get me wrong,, it isntt that we like the name4'Buttles Road", it's the legpl.i$y of the: thing. Will you please ask the. board members it'-they will, pleasQ have:, the. sign corrected,. or, .if they wish to go to the expense of having the legal iaame- of the road. changed.in the County records . If they are, gQing to ch=ge the name of the road, please ad- vi'se them-that perhaps, the residents of the road would like a hand. in g1ving it a 4ew name. In all seriousness, Mrs. Turner, we have lived on the road for nearly 2.5 years and until recently it has always been called. "Buttles Road.".. Now when we ,direct them to Buttles Road we are, getting-.tired of their i L asking us- if we know where we live when they seethe sign "Potter Road". w ( 1 Sincerely, /s/ Mrs. Jess Smith A. +letter was }read from Mr. C1ir4a.s r Forester. of the City of Glens Falls, 14 regard to ,Dutch Elm ,di-sease.= - JQhn Van Dusk Town Surveyor, called on the board in regard to a. map of S'unnyside Road. a The monthly statement Sof the ,Supgrvisor was read to .the Board: i .
