Clirles seers was present and requested that a road 'we laid out from:
Sayside road north. The matter was referred to the Town Superintendent
for consideration.
Mr. and Mrs. John Sullivan, Mrs. Joyce Weeks,, Mrs. Owen Kane and grace
D. Hammond were present and discussed with the board the. c:ompensation
of the inspectors of election.

A general dis=ssionL was held respecting, assessments.
Resolution No. 76 introduc & by Justice Bentley, seconded by Mr. Lamp-
son: -
WHEREAS the assessment rolls of the Town of Queensbury have in
the past contained ialities in assessment values and omission of
properties, and
WgEREAS the efforts of volunteers workir�; with the assessors of
they Torn of •Queensbury have failed to correct the inequalities in
assessed values,,
RESOLVED that in' the best interests of the Town, an agency,
outsidee of.. then County of" War-ren, be employed to make an appraisal of
properties in the loam to _bey used by the Town assessors in making
future assessments, and
Further resolved that Justice Akins be authorized and directed
to contact such appraisal agency with the purpose of acertaining
costs and other pertinent information and to make a report to this
Board of.` such findings met, .later than October 26, 1957, for the con-
sideration of said Town Board of Queensbury.

MR. IMRIE: After eonferring with the Board of Assessors and the
Town Supervisor, Mr. Tripp and I appeared at. the GrieTance Day session
before then fall. Board. and before the' attorney for the Town. ,-
Thar schedule of full values of property owned by the City of
Glens Falls located in the Town of Queensbury, Warren County, New York,
and the schedule of 1967" assessed va uation of property owned by the
City of Glens Falls located in that Town of Queensbury, Warren. County,
Ne:v York, which has been prepared by the Water Department of the City
in conjunction with the. Hoard of Assessors and -Supervisor of the Town
is an acceptable statement of the_ full. value of_City properties and
improTements in so far as they apply to watershed properties, and is
a satisfactory schedule of assessed valuation in so far as both the
Assessors of the Town of Queensbury are concerned and the Water Board
and the C=oon Cecil of the City of glens Falls are concerned.
The aforementioned schedule together with a letter of transmit-
tal from Mr. Tripp: under date of August 1, 1957, are: to be made a
part of the record of these proceedings,
It has been agreed upon between the Board and the property
ownerr that the schedule of fall values of property is based at rea-
sonable market valuer of the real estate and replacement cast of the
improvements without depreciation factor included, and that no de
crease in assessed valuations in the future will be expected because
of depreciation and no increase in assessed valuation: will be expected
because of replacement and repair and maintenance of the presently mxJzt1=

existing system,, and that the value of the improvements will not be
increased unless additional improvements are made to the existing
system.
It is understood that the schedule of 1957 assessed valuation of
property is based on forty percent of the fall values and that the
statements obtained in the record apply only in the event that the
general portion of the true value. of the whole Town is set by the As-
sessors on the forty percent figure: of full value.
(The Board of Assessors convened at g P.A. on Friday, Augu t 2,
15679, at the Queensbury Cetntral. Schools with the Tam Supervisor and
the Town Counsel.)
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hillis. Following a
discussion of the: William Mockridge assessment ®n"Lake George at Kat-
tskill Bay an the east side of Assembly Point, Assessor Dael.I. made the
motion to increase the assessment to sixteen thousand dollars. The
motion was seconded by Assessor Ricketts and was carried with Assessors
Daell. and Ricketts voting affirmatively and Chairman Hillis abstaining.)

signal: now in position- which operates on a 2-phase fixed interval, is

actuated signal'.. A copy -of the order for this ekange is enclosed for
your records.
Sines this is a State Highway, the Department of Public Works-
will install and maintain the signal.

Parsuant, to authority conferred: by Article 7 of the Vehicle and
Traffic: Law, the State Traffic Commission.hereby directs that:
1. Signal #I„ which is located on Route 3239 S.H. 656, at it$ inter-
sectiow..witb. Route 329 S. I. 651, from the northeast and a Town Ri.ghway
from the north in the To= of Queensbary, Warren County, shall operate
as a semi-vehicle-actuated signal.
2. This signal shall consists of a 2-face head and two single-face heads.

head shall be equipped with a vertical green arrow facing traffic from
the- west.

BUDGET NOTE RESOLUTION. OF SEPTEMBER
28th, . 1957, OF. THE. TOWN OF QUEENSBURY,
WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $700.00..
BE IT RESOLVED this 28th day of September, 1957, by the Town
Board of the Town of Queensbury, Warren*County, New York, as follows :
Section 1. That pursuant to the Local Finance Law of the State
of New..York, the Town of Queensloury, Warren County, New York, for
the Purpose: of providing funds for the Queensbury Drainage District,
for which an insufficient appropriation was made in the annual 'budget,
shall issue and sell a budget note in the amount of $700.40, to ma-
ture' on the lst'day of March, 1958,
Section 2. That, excerpt as herein specifically prescribed,
said note shall be of the date, terms , form, contents and place of
payment and at a rate of interest not exceeding five per centum per
annum as may be determined by the Supervisor, consistent, however,
with'the provisions of the Local Finance Law of the State of New York,
and shall 'be executed in the name .of said-Town by the Supervisor and ;
the seal of the Tim shall be attached thereto.
Section 3. That said note shall be sold at private sale by
the= Supervisor at a price of not less than par value and accrued in-
terest, if any,, and upon the due execution and sale of said note the
same' shall be delivered to the purchaser upon the payment: to the
Supervisor of the- purchase price in cash; and the receipt of the
Supervisor shall be a full acquittance to such purchaser who shall
not to obliged to seer to the application of the purchase money.
Section:` 4. The f"uTT faith and credit of the Town of Queens-
bury,, Warren County, New York, are pledged to the punctual payment
of principal of and interest on said note.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

.A large number of the residents of your Township.are insisting
that immediate action be taken to re-surface that stretch of road
that runs from Routs 9 to Route 9L and is commonly known as the Farm
to Market Read which was turned over to the. State of-New York in-the
spring of this year. We the undersigned as well as many more of our
neighbors request this road be immediately re-surfaced as it is a
hazard to the-users of said road,
We request that you contact New York State Superintendent of
Public Works and convey our request to him.-We feel that, this road
should be immediately taken care of.
