Robertson, Inc. By agreement with the contracttor 's ,superintendent, Mr. Brisbane,- only the manholes that are complete are included. I want to call attention.to the 8 inch sanitary sewer which runs south in Ashley Place from Pershing Road that I first heard of about three weeks ago and of which there is -no record.wThis, aebeTO'Connorpand was about 20 years ago to, service the house no Y kept low enough to drain his cellar. As a result- there-.was no grade to speak of so we find the tile to be full solids to ithincaboute2 main inches of the top. To help matters the city forming a dam which forces through. the manhole. at Ashley and Pershing, the sewage to build up in the manhole to a depth of about two feet before it dribbles over the top of the water main. T am told there are now three houses hooked to this line. It. is a fine mess and of little practical value, Tloaa pegple should be made to install septic tanks like everyone else and this line abandoned. This line is °about 400 feet long.. ;This 8 inch dine lays right where our new drain line is going because the water main and gas main forces us to 90 here. The contractor, has lay our main,, _ started today to pickup this 8 inch line dt# dbwn backfil 't® the height Qf the. 8need dl He isdkeeping relay trackit-Qf theextrw bit of new 8 inch tile will be p time spent on this and expects . to be paid for it.
