Leslie Coulter was present and discussed with the board the completion
of the installation of the drainage system in Drainage District No 1
of the Town of Queensbury and submitted a final report on the contract
forinstalling storm water drains'-for Drainage District No. 1. ;
The report was received and placed' on file.

Public Hearing February 9, 1953 y;
At a public hearing held on the above date at 7:30 P,.M,.. at the
schoolhouse of the Union Free School District No.. 2 of the Town of
Queensbury on the Aviation Field Road, the following members were
present:
H. Russell Harris ` Supervisor
'Meredith Bentley Justice of the Peace
Henry Sleight Justice of the Peace
Raymond Walkup .Councilman
Curtis Lampson Councilman
Also present was Jesse Burger personally and by his attorney, Ralph B..
Tuener,' Esq. The Adirondack Transit Co. , Inc. , was represented by
Mc-Phil? ips, Fitzgerald and McCarthy - Gerald tlilcPhi-lips: of; Counsel.
Proofs- of publication of notices were received and filed.
Supervisor .Harris opened the meeting statingtin general terms the purr
poses thereof, and then called upon Ralph B. Turner to state the prop
osition that his client submitted for consideration of the hearing and
the Town Board, Thereupon, Mr. Turner outlined the proposaa7 of his
client and at the conclusion thereof, 14�r. McPhillips outlined the
proposal of the Adirondack Transit Lines , Inc. At the conclusion of
the outlining of the proposals , Mr,- Harris stated that anyone else
present was .entitled to ask questions of either of the attorneys, ;
to discuss the proposals of the two carriers and might ask questions
of the representatives of the carriers, 'Thereupon, several people ,
expressed their views upon each of the propogltlons•

Mr. McGinley,, representing the Ft'. Amherst Realty Co. , Mr. Metzner,
representing the Broadacres Corporation and Mr. Norman Beaty and Mr..
Leicht, among others, expressed their opinion in favor of granting the
rights to the Adirondack Transit Cordpany.
Mr. Ellsworth, Mr. Goldman and Mr. Gooch, among others, spoke in favor
of granting rights to Jesse Burger.
Some who were present, stated that they felt that service was needed and
that the service should be extended to -include areas west of the junction
of Dixon Road with the Aviation Road as far as the West Mountain Road,
A general' discussion was had with an expression of opinion from various
ipeople..
Mr. Leicht discussed among other things the proposals, stating that he
represented the, Cottage Hill Association and they were in favor of the
Adirondack Transit Lines. George H. Savale, Jr..,, president of the Glen-
acres Association was present and also favored the Adirondack Transit
Lines.
Mr. Leicht presented a petition signed by 310 persons, members of the
Cottage Hill Civic League and the Glenacres Civic Association which ex-
pressed in favor of the Adirondack Transit Lines, Inc„
Mr. Harris stated that he would ask for an informal showing of hands as
to which carrier they favored. Mr. Ellsworth objected to the showing of
hands and stated that it was the duty of the Town Board to determine
what was in the best interests of the Town. Thereupon, a vote was taken
of which 98 hands were shown in favor of the Adirondack Transit Lines,
and 36 for the Burger Bus Lines.
After a discussion,, the Board adjourned to, meet at the Town Clerk's Office
on February 10th at 7:30: P.11.. to, consider, the proposals,; closing the
hearing. ..

held on the above date at 7:�O P.M.. at the Clerk's Office, the following
