There was no response and no one appeared objecting to the purchase of equipment. Supervisor Harris read a communication from Yr. and Mrs. Tatsey re- lating to Town expenditures. Earl Carswell discussed with the Board the shovel. j James Van derHoughton also discussed with the board the equipment. L_J After discussion the board felt they should advertise for bids. Resolution No. 41 introduced by Councilman Walkup, seconded by Justice Bentley: ` RESOLVED that the Torn of Queensbury advertise for sealed pro- posals to furnish the Town of Queensbury with the following equipment: One power shovel of not less than 3/8 yd, nor more than 1/2 yd'.. capacity truck mounted and in the alternate, One power shovel of not less than 3/8 yd. nor more than 1/2 yd'. capacity to be mounted on Town truck, Proposals may be for reconditioned or new equipment; proposals to be for shovel complete and ready for operation, f.o.b. The Supervisor read a letter from Samuel Pruyn calling the Boardts attention to the fact that in the laying of the service drain on Ft. Harris Noes - none At this point Supervisor Harris read a proposed contract which was prepared for the engineering services of Mr. Van Dusen for the Town of Queensbury. The board discussed the contract and no changes or additions were suggested.. Resolution Noy. 43 introduced.by Justice Sleight, seconded by Justice Bentley: WFIEREAS the claim of Garner Tripp for engineering services in connection with the laying of the storm drain on,Ft. Amherst Road was audited and allowed in error and the same should have been charged against Highway Fund Item 1, 5 RESOLVED that the, SuperVisor be and is hereby authorized and directed to pay the claim from Item l of the Highway Fund upon receipt of a voucher therefor from the Superintendent of Highways instead of j the General, Town Fund. . l , - Duly adopted by the following vote : Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr# Sleight and Mr. Harris.
