A petition was read to the Board signed-by approximately 130 people re- questing repair and widening of Glen Lake Road. William Perry appeared for the Glen Lake Association. The matter was referred to the Town Sup- erintendent to make a survey and recommendation this fall. The following communication was read to the Board: June 259 1953 Mr. Russell Harris Star Route Glens .Falls, N.Y. Dear Mr. Harris At the summer meeting of the Assembly Point Association, held during l last August, a resolution was passed, directing the secretary to write a letter to you as chairman of the Town Board of Queensbury, to work out means for reducing the dust hazard for the summer .people of Assembly Point. They have suggested that more oil be used in shorter intervals to lay the dust which would help, to alleviate the problem. The following recommendation was read: July 19 1953 Town Board y Town of Queensbury Gentlemen: - I hereby reron�mend that the compensation of the shovel operator be fixed at $1.40 per hour. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Brown and Angela Romano called on the board in reference to hard-surfacing Pine St. between Carroll St. and the Boulevard; they also requested street lights. The matter was generally discussed with the Town Board and referred to the High- way committee.
