Mr. Wick noted he applied for grants for the projects and would ask the town for help with the remaining costs. Councilman Boor asked what they could anticipate on the bike trail. Mr. Wick we are at the time of year where things are shutting down will not see this until next year. After further discussion, Mr. Wicks to move forward with this, Town Board in agreement. SCHERMERHORN REQUEST FOR TOWN PROPERTY RICHARD SCHERMERHORN, ATTORNEY JOHN LAPPER PRESENT Attorney Lapper spoke to the board regarding purchasing an easement to create a new entrance onto Quaker Road would like to take advantage of the Hannaford traffic light. Would create an entrance onto Quaker Road from Adirondack Nautilus, across from the entrance to Hannaford. Mr. Schermerhorn would make improvements to manage runoff into the Halfway Brook. Town Board members noted they would be willing to discuss the idea once they had a better idea of what the plans are for the property. Mr. Schermerhorn noted to attract a quality national commercial tenant he would have to know that he has a good access, has no plans for the property. WGF VFC GEAR LOAN AND TOWER FUNDING REQUEST Mike Gordon, West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company Chief asked the board for a loan of $74,000 to buy 55 new sets of gear over the course of a few years, to replace old gear and outfitting 15 to 20 new members who have joined the company in the last year. Town Board members said they would rather see the cost covered by the company-operating budget. Supervisor Stec recommended Mr. Gordon to find out how much the first ten sets would cost, Town Board to discuss this at a future meeting. Discussion held regarding the truck. Councilman Sanford noted they are not dealing with any of the companies until after they get settled in with the operational budgets. At that particular point and time, we will be working with Councilman Strough to try to put criteria together for prioritizing acquisitions thinks it would be premature to get into any discussion regarding request for tower truck. PROPOSED QUAKER RIDGE COMMERCIAL PLAZA DEVELOPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY PARK – VIC MACRI Mr. Macri spoke to the board asking the board to change the zoning of a parcel of land that he owns noting the land is between Quaker Road and a National Grid right-a-way, west of Queensbury Avenue. Mr. Macri would like to be able to use the area for retail and commercial use. Supervisor Stec recommended the Planning and Ordinance Review Committee to look at this before the Town Board takes action on this. DEEP HOLE TEST REQUEST – 29 EAST BRANCH DRIVE TIM BENNETT MR. RYAN REPRESENTING MR. BENNETT Discussion held regarding deep test hole request. Mr. Ryan noted Mr. Bennett is proposing a three-bedroom module on the property currently the land is vacant. Supervisor Stec it is in a CEA it is on the Hudson River it is not like most we see after further discussion Town Board in agreement with this. Supervisor Stec to email Mr. Van Dusen regarding this.
