Noes - none Ernest Lackey was also present and discussed with the committee who pre- s_ente& the serve set forth petition the condition of the highways in the WesternC um 416 The board. also discussed the condition of the Town highways with Mr. t Lackey and a` general discussion was had between Mr. Lackey and the Boarda in reference to the highway equipment.. The clerk read a.,.communication from the Association of Towns which adw wised the Town Officers that the annual meeting of the Association of Towns of the State of New York would be held at Buffalo beginning Feb.. 6th 4n.d ending Feb. 8th. It is further resolved that the actual and necessary expenses of.' any offiper in so attending be and the same is a proper Town, charge.. Supervisor (1) , Justices of the Peace (2) Councilman (2), Town Clerk, Supekntenhenf of Highways, Collectors (3� Assessora�, 'the Town Welfare Officer and Constable.. _ It is further resolved- that H. Russell Harris is hereby designa- ted to cast the vote at such meeting of the Town of Queensbury and in his absence, Raymond Walkup is hereby designated as. alternate to cast such vote. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes-Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr. Harris. Noes - none - f Mr. Sleight stated to the Board that one Thomas Liapes had <requested him to make application for him for taking care of hydrants. The clerk read a communication from the State Defense Council urging organization of scrap mobilization committees to press campaigns for heavy scrap material. A. copy of the resolution to that effect adopted by theoew York State Defense Council was read to the Board. In connection with the rates and charges of the Hudson Tfanspertation Company Inc. - case No. 15275 as to the original- cost of the property and the deprecation .existing therein- the clerk. read a notice that a Public Hearing would be held in Albany Tues ky, Feb.. at, 10;00 A*M,. by the Public Service Commission. A later notice was read by the clerk-which advised the Board that such meeting had been chaed to Tuesday, Feb. 19th. .
