The Board convened at 7:30 P.M.
The following recommendation was read to the board:
I,, Ernest B..,Lackey,; Town Superintendent of Highways, of the
Town of Queensbury., do respectfully recommend to the Town Board of
the Town of Queensbury that the 1941 Galion power grader now
owned: by the Town ,be replaced by a new grader or by a used grader
if �one can be obtained in good condition with a new machine qu4rantee..
Anew grader would cost about $13;,500«00 but it should be possible
to obtain a good used grader for about ,$8,700..00. It is estimated
that the trade in value of the 1941 Galion grader now owned by the Town
IS about $1,50040,

' ResolveAhat the Town Clerk be and is hereby authorized and
directed to cause to be published once. in the Glens Falls Times a
notice substantially the following form.
"" NOTICE"
Notice_ is hereby given compliance with Secion 142 of the
' Highway Law, that Ernest Lackey,; Superintendent of Highways
of the Town of Queensbufy,, has recommended to the Town Board
`of such Town as follows::
I, Ernest B. Lackey,, To wm Superintendent of Highways, of
the Town of Queensbury, do respectfully recommend to the Town
Board of the Town of Queensbury that the 1941 Galion power grader
now owned by the Town be replaced by a new gradeer or by a used
grader if one can be obtained in good condition with a new machine
quarantee. A new grader would cost about $13,500..00 but it should
be possible to obtain a good-used grader for about $8,,7000.00.
It is estimated that the trade in value of t he 1941 Galion grader
now owned by the town is about $1,500„00.
