In 1988 a scenic easement on this lot was granted to the Lake George Land Conservancy, the terms of which allow the applicant rights to access, use, and maintain the dock. The crib leg shown in black in figure 3 is severely canted due to unequal surface loading resulting from use of a boat-lifting hoist straddling the lower slip in that figure. As a result,the roof support of the boat house has been supplemented by new 6x6 inch timbers which extent vertically down from the roof joists directly to a rock ledge beneath the dock. The first proposed step in dock restoration is the total removal of the 101 ft2 stone crib shown in figure 3.
