Minutes of meetings held on December 18th, 28th,1946 and January
llth,1947 were read and approved.
Ernest Lackey Town Superintendent of Highways also present :
Resolution No llth By Justice of the Peace Sleight, Seconded by
Counc man L ampson;
Whereas the Town Superintendent of Highways did on the 7th day of
November,1946, duly recommend the purchase of certain equipment
pursuant to the provisions of Section 142 of the highway Law,
and a notice of such recommendation has been duly publis7ged as
provided in such action.
Now Therefore Be It resolved that pursuant to Section 142 of the
Highway Law the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby
authorized to purchase from A. L. Parson & Son Motor Corp. ,
Glens Falls, N.Y. with the approval of the County Superintendent
of Highways: One new Ford Cab & Chassis-13411 , 2 ton- 2 Speed rear
axle Motor Number 799 T 1348807 , with dump body, 3 yard , heavy
duty hoist 8:25 tires spare rim, tire and tube mounted , for
a total price of Two Thousand Four Hundred Ten and 67/100 dollars
($2410.67) 9 delivered at the Town of Queensbury Store House, N.Y.,
and to be delivered on or about January 14th,1947,
Terms of paymen t will be as follows:
Check drawn on machinery fund as follows: $2410.67
A contract of purchase for theitem purchased shall be duly
executed between the Town Superintendent of Highways and such
vendor, and when duly approved bythe Counyt Superintendent of
Highways, .it- shall become effective. When such contract has been
duly executed and approved, the supervisor is authorized to
complete such purchase upon delivery of theitem purchased in
accordance with the terms of such resolution and such contract
and to pay the above amount specified to be aid by check,

In the Matter of the Application of Arthur Patrick Cronin for
for consent to operate a .bus line over the certain roads in the
Town of Queensbury the following resolution was adopted.

Resolved that in the matter of the application of Arthur Patrick
Cronin for consent to operate a bus line over certain roads in the
Town of Queensbury, be and the sam is hereby adjourned to the
next regular meeting.

the Peace, Town Clerk, Superintendent of Highways and assessors

be and hereby are authorized to attend the Association of
Towns meetings to be held Feb 19,20 & 21,1947 in Albany,
N.Y. ,
Further resolved that H Russell Harris, supervisor, be and is
hereby designated to cast the vote of the Town of Queenshury
pursuant to section 6 of Article 11 of the constitution
and by laws of said Association and in the event of the absene
of the Supervisor, Henry Sleight is desinated alternate to
cast said vote:

Whereas the Town Board of Ilueensbury has had on several
oceassions brought to their attention by petition and personal
contact the nuisance and unhealthy condition existing in
certain parts of the Town of Queensbury, brought about by the
operation of the City Dump and the property operating and
known,as the hog farm.
W,pt t'ky Town Board in regular session this 25th day of Janu ay
do pray your honorable body to make a careful study of these
conditions in hopes of finding a remedy or relief of the same.
