1947-11-22 85 Regular Meeting November 22, 1947 Present : H. Russell Harris Supervisor Henry Sleight Justice of the Peace Meredith Bentley Justice of the Peace Curtis Lampson Councilman Absent: Raymond Walkup Councilman Board convened at -7.30 P.M. at the Clerk's Office Minutes of meetings held .on October 25th and October 27th were read and approved. Resolution introduced by Councilman Lampson and seconded by Jus- tsce en ley. It was -resolved that the Town Board hereby fixes the amount of the undertakings or official bonds for officers and funds for the year 1948 as follows : Supervisor General Town Fund $10,000 Supervisor Highway fund 10,000 Tax Collector 10,000 Superintendent of,Highways 4,000 Justices of the Peace - - - 1,000 each Town Clerk 10000 Constables 1,000 Dog 71arden 19000 Collector N.G.F. W..D. 1,000 Collector W.G.F.`Jd.D. 1,000 It is further resolved that- said undertakings or bonds shall be ex - ecuted- by surety company authorized to transact business in the State of New- York. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes : Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr. Harris. A written application was received from Mr. Joseph Ricketts for the position of dog enumerator. ' LeGrand Seaver, who was present,- also made application, personally, for the oosition. Resolution ,x'39 introduced by Justice Bentley, seconded by Justice =Ignt. It was resolved that LeGrande Seaver be and is hereby appointed dog enumerator for the Town of Queensbury pursuant to the provisions of the Agriculture and Market Law. Meyers and Robert Shaw i The Board generally discussed with Mr. Meyers the proposed extension of the North Glens Falls Water District and also, discussed with Mr. Shaw the cost of laying mains within said extension. In reference to acquiring a typewriter for use in the Town Clerk's Office, F. Karl Suprenant who mans present, demonstrated a Wood- stock typewriter to the Board, and the following resolution was adopted: RP.olnt-ion #4n Introduced by. Councilman Lampson, seconded by Jus- tice Sleight: It is resolved that the Clerk be and is hereby authorized to purchase from the Typewriter Exchange one Woodstock Typewriter ##14837661 at a price of $150.00 -for use in the Town Clerk' s Office.
