The Board proceeded to examine the records submitted to them for examination ar.d after such examination, and audit, the following resolution was adopted: RpsoliLtJ-on No. 48 , Introduced -by Councilman Lampson; seconded by Councilman alkup. "JHEREAS the Supervisor, Justices of the Peace, Superinten - dent of Highways and the Town Clerk have presented to the Town Board dockets , •canceled checks, books , vouchers , minute book and other records for examination and audit by the Board, a 9® RESOLVED that after such examination of such dockets , books vouchers , checks , minute book so presented, this Board finds that such books and records have been accurately kept and that all moneys coming into the hands of the several officers of the Town have been for and paid out according, to law. An application of Irene Devine, applying for the Office of Town ` Clerk, was read to the Board. f Resolution -Introduc+ed by Councilman Walkup, seconded by �ustice leight :- WI EREAS a vacancy exists in the Office of the Town 'Clerk of the Town of Queensbury by reason of the death of Bert b. Turner who was- elected in the General. Election Nov. 1, -19.47 for e term of, two- years beginning January lst , 1948, THEREFORE be it resolved that Frances L. Turner be and is hereby appointed Town Clerk to fill, such vacancy from January 1st, 1948 until December 31st , 1948. � Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr. .
