SECTION I . The Town of Queensbury Police Department shall
be abolished and discontinued as of 11 :59 p.m. (Eastern Standard
Time) on December 31 , 1982 .
SECTION II . The position of Chief of Police of the Town
of Queensbury Police Department, the positions of all police
officers of the Town of Queensbury Police Department, whether
permanent, temporary , probationary or provisional , and any and
all other positions within the Town of Queensbury Police
Department, whether secretarial, clerical or of dispatcher status
or otherwise, shall be abolished, discontinued and terminated as
of 11 : 59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on December 31 , 1982 .
SECTION III . This Local Law shall be filed in the office
of the Secretary of State of the State of New York in accordance
with law and it shall take effect at 11 :59 p.m. (Eastern Standard
Time) on December 31 , 1982 .
