Purpose: The purpose of this Local Law is to designate Dunham' s Bay Road for orfe—way traffic, as authorized under the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York, and as recommended by New York State Traffic & Engineering Safety. 2. Definitions: 0 For the purpose of this Local Law, words used herein shall have the same meaning as set forth for the definitions, if any, of such words in the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York. (If additional space is needed, attach pages the same size as this sheet, and number each.) (1) DOS-239 (Rev. 7/90) 3. One-Way Traffic on Dunhaw' s Bay Road in the Town of Queensbury: Dunham' s Bay Road, lying and existing off State Route 9L in the Town of Queensbury is hereby designated for one-way traffic, proceeding in a southerly direction, from the northerly most intersection of Dunham' s Bay Road and said Route 9L. No persons shall operate a motor vehicle over the aforesaid Dunham' s Bay Road in a northerly direction or toward the northerly intersection of Dunham' s Bay Road and State Route 9L. 4. Authorization and Directive to Town Superintendent of Highways: The Town of Queensbury Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized and directed to install and maintain such traffic control devices as may be required to be installed or maintained by the Town by reason of this Local Law, the New York State Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and New York State DOT Regulations. 5. Penalty: 0 Any person violating any provision or paragraph of Section 3 of this Local Law shall be subject to such penalties as shall be allowed or provided by Article 45 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York. 6. This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing thereof in the Office of the Secretary of State.
