The purpose of this Local Law is to` prohibit, under malty Of of

• Glenwood Avenue, in the Town of Queensbury, County of Warren, State
of New York.
2 , Definitions:
Curbl-ine: The prolongation of the lateral line e of a curb or,
ofthe pavement
in the absence of a curb, the lateral boundary
of the roadway.
Tax Map: The tax maps in effect and in existence on May 11,
1995 .
For the purpose of this Local Law, the words "Motor Vehicle, "
"Vehicle, " "Person, " and "Park" shall have the same meaning as set

area of the road or road right-of-way which adjoins that portion of
the road which is currently used for vehicular travel .
3 . No Parking on a Portion of Glenwood Avenue in the Town of
Queensbury:
No motor vehicle or other vehicle of any kind shall be allowed
or permitted to park and no persons shall park a motor vehicle or
other vehicle for any period of time on the west side of that
portion of Glenwood Avenue from the intersection of Glenwood Avenue
and Quaker Road, southerly to the northerly most property line of
the first homeowner on the west side, as shown on Town of
Queensbury Tax Map No. 104-1-7 and/or on the east side of that
portion of Glenwood Avenue from the intersection of Glenwood Avenue
and Quaker Road to the northerly most property line of the Glens
Falls Bus Garage parcel, as shown on Town of Queensbury Tax Map No.
106-2-25, in the Town of Queensbury, County of Warren, State of New
York.
4 . Penalty:
Any person violating any provision or paragraph of Section 3
of this Local Law, shall, upon conviction, be punishable for a
first offense by a fine not to exceed $25 . 00, and for a second
offense by a fine not to exceed $50 . 00 . In addition to the
aforesaid penalties, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury may
institute any proper action, suit, or proceeding, to prevent,
restrain, correct, or abate any violation of this Local Law.
5 . No-Parking Signs :
The Town of Queensbury Superintendent of Highways shall be
authorized and directed to:
A. indicate the designation of the no-parking area on that

portion of Glenwood Avenue referred to in paragraph 3
hereof, by appropriate markings and/or signs made in
accordance with and as may be provided by, the New York
State Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and any
applicable State rules or regulations .
B. Maintain all markings or other traffic control devices
required by reason of this Local Law.
6 . This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing
thereof in the Office of the Secretary of State.
