WHEREAS, on November 17', 2008 the Town Board adopted Local Law No.: 8 of 2008
which prohibited the parking of any vehicle on the south side of a portion of Sunset Lane in the
Town of Queensbury; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of Local Law No.: 8 of 2008 was to facilitate snow plowing and
other road maintenance activities and access by emergency services vehicles, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that the prohibition on parking imposed by
Local Law No.: 8 of 2008 is only necessary during the winter months except for that portion of
Sunset Lane in close proximity to its intersection with Assembly Point Road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE TO R17V BOARD OF
THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURYAS FOLLOWS.

1. Amendments: :4
A. Paragraph 1 of Local Law No.: 8 of 2008, entitled "Purpose", is amended
to read as follows:

The purpose of this Local Law is to facilitate road maintenance activities
and emergency services vehicle access on Sunset Lane by prohibiting parking in
close proximity to its intersection with Assembly Point Road at all times and
imposing additional parking restrictions during the winter months.
B. Paragraph 3 of Local Law No.: 8 of 2008, entitled "No Parking on the South
Side of a Portion of Sunset Lane in the Town of Queensbury", is amended to read as
follows:
No motor vehicle or other vehicle of any kind shall be allowed or permitted
to be parked and no person(s) shall park a motor vehicle or other vehicle for any
period of time on, in or along the right-of-way on the south side of a portion of
Sunset Lane beginning at its intersection with Assembly Point Road and continuing
in a southerly direction a distance of 50'± at any time and a distance of 279'±during
the months of October through March.
2. Remaining Provisions to Continue:
All other provisions of Local Law No.: 8 of 2008 not specifically amended by this Local
Law shall remain in full force and effect.
3. Effective Date:
This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon its filing in the Office of the Secretary of
State.

A LOCAL LAW AMENDING LOCAL LAW NO.: 8 OF 2008
PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF A PORTION OF
SUNSET LANE IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY
WHEREAS, on November 17th, 2008 the Town Board adopted Local Law No.: 8 of 2008
which prohibited the parking of any vehicle on the south side of a portion of Sunset Lane in the
Town of Queensbury; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of Local Law No.: 8 of 2008 was to facilitate snow plowing and
other road maintenance activities and access by emergency services vehicles, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that the prohibition on parking imposed by
Local Law No.: 8 of 2008 is only necessary during the winter months except for that portion of
Sunset Lane in close proximity to its intersection with Assembly Point Road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE TOWN BOARD OF
THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURYAS FOLLOWS:

to read as follows:
