Intent, Authority —The purpose of this Local Law is to increase the salary of the Town Highway Superintendent for the 2017 fiscal year. In particular,Town Law§27 authorizes the Town Board to increase the salary of certain elected officials of the Town, including the Highway Superintendent, to an amount in excess of the amount specified in the notice of public hearing on the preliminary budget for not more than one fiscal year by adoption of a Local Law pursuant to the Municipal Home Rule Law. Section 2. Increase of salary — The salary of the Town Highway Superintendent is hereby increased from $68,524, the amount which was specified in the notice of hearing on the preliminary budget of the Town for the year 2017, to $69,895 for the fiscal year which begins January 1,2017. Section 3. Repealer; Supersession—All Local Laws or Ordinances or parts of Local Laws or Ordinances in conflict with any part of this Local law are hereby repealed.
