2.0 DISCUSSIONS
2.1 OPEN SPACE INSTITUTE DISCUSSION
Mr. Dan Luciano spoke to the Town Board regarding the acquisition of the Faith Bible Church
property...noting that OSI and the Queensbury Recreation Commission have been working on this project
since 1995 it has now come down to the management agreement...after reviewing the proposed agreement
the Town Board requested that a resolution be available at the next regular Town Board Meeting for
approval.
2.2 WEST GLENS FALLS VOL. FIRE COMPANY
The West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company came before the Town Board requesting permission to
purchase a new Fire Engine-It was the decision of the Town Board to have the Fire Company members
speak to the Town Board at a Special Workshop Session on May 3rd. regarding this purchase.
2.3 PROPOSED NOISE ORDINANCE DISCUSSION
An informal discussion was held regarding the proposed noise ordinance for the Town of Queensbury.
Residents from the Twicwood Area and Courthouse Estates voiced their concerns over the noise created by
area businesses on Route 9 such as Skateland, Adventure Racing and the Great Escape. Residents
requested that the Town Board consider the use of decimal meters. Attorney Mike O'Connor representing
Skateland spoke to the Town Board regarding their hours of operation not to limit them. Attorney Lapper
represented Adirondack Racing also speaking to the Town Board regarding their hours of operation. The
Town Board will review the proposals.
On motion the meeting was adjourned.
