RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF ROTATING
MECHANISM FOR PUMP #2 AT MEADOWBROOK ROAD PUMP
STATION FROM SIEWERT EQUIPMENT

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Wastewater Director has advised that it is necessary to
purchase a rotating mechanism for Pump #2 at the Meadowbrook Road Pump Station
(mechanism), and
WHEREAS, the Wastewater Director requested and received quotes for such
mechanism and the lowest quote is from Siewert Equipment dated May 6, 2019 for a
Cornell rotating assembly in the amount of$19,876 and therefore the Town Board wishes
to authorize the purchase,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the purchase of a
Cornell rotating assembly for Pump #2 at the Meadowbrook Road Pump Station from
Siewert Equipment in accordance with its quote dated May 6, 2019 presented at this
meeting in the amount of$19,876 to be paid from Account No.: 032-8120-2001, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the Town Budget Officer to
take all actions necessary to amend the Town Budget and effectuate the transfer of$6,559
from Fund #36 Route 9 Sanitary Sewer Undesignated Fund Balance, and $13,317 from
Fund #32 Queensbury Consolidated Sanitary Sewer Undesignated Fund Balance, for a total
of$19,876,to Account No.: 032-8120-2001 to fund such purchase, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town
Supervisor to sign any needed documentation, and the Town Supervisor, Town Wastewater
Director and/or Budget Officer to take such other and further action as may be necessary to
effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
