Septic System Inspections:
A. All applications for septic system installation, alteration or repair,
as required by the Town of Queensbury Sanitary Sewage Ordinance, shall
be submitted to the Building Department at least 24 hours before start
of construction and shall include a plot plan showing:
1) the proposed location of the system
2) location and distance to lot lines
3) location and distance to structures
4) location and distance to any water supply
5) size and dimensions of all tanks, distribution boxes, tile fields
and/or drywells
B. No system shall be covered before inspection and approval by the Building
Inspector. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the
uncovering of the system by the installer and a fine of up to $250.00.
C. An approved copy of the plot plan shall be available on the construction
site. Failure to produce said plot plan at time of inspection may result
in an immediate work stoppage.
D. Should unforeseen problems during construction prevent proper installation,
alteration or repair of an approved system, a new proposal must be submitted
to the Queensbury Building Department before further construction.

RESOLUTION APPROVING A SANITARY SEWAUE DISPOSAL VARIANCE
FOR WILLIAM & MARGARET SULLIVAN •
RESOLUTION NO. : 49. 93

WHEREAS, William & Margaret Sullivan previously filed a
request for a variance from certain provisions of the Town of
Queensbury On—Site Sewage Disposal Ordinance, sucn provision
being more specifically that requiring that there be a 100 foot
separation between the septic tank Lake George, and
WHEREAS, a notice of public nearing was given in tne
official newspaper of the Town of Queensbury and a public nearing
was neld in connection with the variance requests on November 15,
1993, and
WHEREAS, the Town Clerk advises that property owners within
500 feet of the subject property have been duly notified,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED,
a) that due to the nature of the variance, it is felt chat
the variation will not be materially detrimental to the
purposes and objectives of this Ordinance or to other
adjoining properties or otherwise conflict with tne
purpose and objectives of any plan or policy of the
Town of i ueensoury ;
b) that the Local board of Health finds that the granting
of the variance is necessary for the reasonable use of
the land and tnat tne variance is granted as the
minimum variance whicn would alleviate the specific
unnecessary naraship found by the Local Board of Health
to affect the applicant ; and
c) that the Local Board of Health imposes a condition upon
tne applicant that he must also secure the approval of
the New York State Department of Health, and tne
following furtner conditions : i. As the plans snow all
toilets to be 1. 5 gallon per flush E. All shower heads
and domestic faucets restricted to 3 gpm.
