MTG.#2 RES. 29 TOWN BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT Supervisor Michel Brandt Councilman Betty Monahan Councilman Susan Goetz Councilman Nick Caimano Councilman Pliney Tucker Town Attorney Paul Dusek Supervisor Brandt called the meeting to order RESOLUTION CALLING FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION RESOLUTION NO. 29, 1992 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mrs. Susan Goetz RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby moves into Executive Session to discuss, Personnel Matters, Wages and Contracts. Duly adopted this 2nd, day of January, 1992 by the following vote: AYES: Mrs. Monahan, Mrs. Goetz, Mr. Caimano, Mr. Tucker, Mr. Brandt NOES: None ABSENT: None Supervisor Brandt-Our meeting has come out of Executive and we are back into Regular Session...any other business to be brought before this Board? Councilman Caimano-I would like to introduce a resolution in view the fact that it has come to my attention that there has been a lot of people that have not been hooked up to water meters, lets get everybody in. I would like to introduced a resolution that for a period of 60 days commencing on February 1, 1992 that anyone who is not currently on any of our water districts not metered or billed but are receiving water from the Town can come forward without penalty or back charges and have the town install a water meter. Lets stop here a minute, Betty just brought up an interesting point that maybe this may not be the time of the year when they can do that it maybe that we want them to come forward now and it will be hooked up within a six month period. Supervisor Brandt-It does not matter when we do it but they have a 60 day period in which to declare it and in that period they get anmesty from any back charges. Councilman Monahan-And the water dept will do the hookup at their schedule. Supervisor Brandt-At the expense of the district and at the time table of the district. Councilman Monahan-No, you have to pay for your own water hook up, you have to pay for all meter hookups... Supervisor Brandt-Fine, the meter is paid as anyone else. Councilman Tucker-If the water line is in there and there was a lot of water lines put in without meters, you pay for putting the water line in. Councilman Monahan-When the meter goes in, don't you pay for the meter hookup. Councilman Tucker-When I build a house a short tap I pay $190. and that includes the meter Councilman Monahan-According to customary charges. Councilman Caimano- The water dept. will do the actual hookup on their schedule Councilman Monahan-And charges will be as normal. Councilman Caimano-Any hookup charges will be as normal, if there is none, there is none. And the charges if any for hookup will be as normal. Councilman Tucker-They may determine in most of these cases that they will want the full shot if you leave it open to them, $225.00 for a long tap and $190.00 for a short. Councilman Caimano-I see what you are saying that they could put any number in there, what do you think Mike? Supervisor Brandt -Lets get Flaherty's input and lets just talk to Tom and say what we want to do and lets set a rate. Councilman Caimano- This is a suggested resolution that we have for Monday night. Discussion held regarding Association of Towns....Councilman Monahan suggested that a daily upper level of what can be spent...I will have to ask Darleen what the room rates are this year, and figure for transportation and meals... Councilman Caimano, I would like to go... Supervisor Brandt, asked for a resolution to be prepared and someone will have to research it and put a top dollar on it...this will include a fix amount per day so that people will not abuse it. I think we should define what is a normal cost and a limit... Councilman Monahan-suggested that the Town pay the Hotel directly... Supervisor Brandt-I have no problem with that... Supervisor Brandt-Any other business that we want to discuss... On motion of Mr. Caimano and seconded by Mrs. Goetz the meeting was adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Miss Darleen Dougher Town Clerk
