RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NO. _, 1992 A LOCAL LAW TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY BY ADDING A NEW CHAPTER 34, TO BE ENTITLED "RETIREMENT" WHICH CHAPTER SHALL HAVE A NEW ARTICLE I, TO BE KNOWN AS "RETIREMENT INCENTIVE" RESOLUTION NO. 477, 92 INTRODUCED BY: Mrs. Susan Goetz WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Pliney Tucker WHEREAS, at this meeting there has been presented for adoption by the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, Local Law No. _, 1992, A Local Law to Amend the Code of the Town of Queensbury by adding a new Chapter 34, to be entitled "Retirement" which Chapter shall have a new Article I, to be known as "Retirement Incentive", and WHEREAS, such legislation is authorized pursuant to the Laws of the State of New York, and WHEREAS, prior to adoption of said Local Law, it is necessary to conduct a public hearing, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury shall meet and hold a public hearing at the Activities Center, 531 Bay Road, Queensbury, Warren County, New York, at 7:00 p.m., on the 14th day of September, 1992, to consider said Local Law No. _, 1992 and to hear all persons interested on the subject matter thereof concerning the same to take such action thereon as is required or authorized by law, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the Town Clerk of the Town of Queensbury is hereby directed to publish and post the notice that has also been presented at this meeting concerning the proposed Local Law No. _, 1992 in the manner provided by law. Duly adopted this 31st day of August, 1992, by the following vote: AYES Mrs. Goetz, Mr. Tucker, Mr. Brandt NOES None ABSENT : Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Caimano RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 448, 92 CONCERNING REORGANIZATION OF THE PLANNING, ZONING AND BUILDING & CODES ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENTS RESOLUTION NO.: 478, 92 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Michel Brandt WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Pliney Tucker WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, by resolution no. 448, 92, adopted and implemented a plan for the reorganization of the Planning, Zoning and Building & Codes Enforcement Departments, and WHEREAS, as part of that resolution, the Town Board authorized the establishment of a new position to be known as Assistant Planner with Engineer and/or Architectural background, with the exact nature of the position to be subject to and in accordance with Civil Service approval and rules and regulations, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is desirous of amending the aforesaid resolution and more specifically, the authorization for the establishment of a new position of Assistant Planner with Engineer and/or Architectural background, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby amends resolution no. 448, 92, to provide that the new position that is authorized and established shall be that of a second Assistant Planner, with the qualifications and criteria for the position to be in accordance with the currently approved Civil Service job classification and with any appointments made to said position to be provisional in nature until such time as a qualifying Civil Service test has been taken and passed in accordance with the Civil Service Law, rules and regulations, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby authorizes the Town Supervisor to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Warren County Civil Service Commission and take such other and further steps, including the execution and placement of the Town Seal on any and all documentation that may be necessary pursuant to Civil Service Law, rules and regulations to effectuate the terms and provisions of this resolution. Duly adopted this 2nd day of September, 1992 by the following vote: ALL THOSE IN FAVOR: Ayes ALL THOSE OPPOSED: None ABSENT: Mrs. Monahan (Councilman Monahan entered meeting) RESOLUTION TO RECONVENE RESOLUTION NO. 480, 92 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Michel Brandt RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby adjourns from Executive Session and enter Regular Session of the Town Board. Duly adopted this 2nd day of September, 1992, by the following vote: ALL THOSE IN FAVOR: Ayes ALL THOSE OPPOSED: None ABSENT: None RESOLUTION REGARDING HILAND PARK CHAPTER 11 PROCEEDINGS RESOLUTION NO. 481, 92 INTRODUCED BY: Mrs. Susan Goetz WHO MOVED IT'S ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury has received notice that it maybe eligible for appointment to the Unsecured Creditors Committee in the matter of Hiland Park's application under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor is hereby authorized and directed to complete such forms as may be necessary and take all steps that may be necessary to apply, on behalf of the Town of Queensbury, for an appointment to the Unsecured Creditors Committee, with the designation of the contact persons, etc. to be in the discretion of the Town Supervisor, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor and Town Attorney are authorized and directed to file such proof of claims as may be necessary to protect the interest of the Town in Hiland Park's Chapter 11 Proceedings.
