1993-11-30 SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING NOVEMBER 30,1993 9:45 p.m. MTG.#86 RES. 727-730 TOWN BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT Supervisor Michel Brandt Councilman Betty Monahan Councilman Susan Goetz Councilman Nick Caimano Councilman Pliney Tucker Town Attorney Paul Dusek Guests: Glens Falls Post Star Representative LANDFILL CONTRACT WITH CITY OF GLENS FALLS Supervisor Brandt-A meeting was held with Glens Falls Mayor and Council and the newly elected officials of Glens Falls and the Supervisor Elect of the Town of Queensbury Fred Champagne. Glens Falls is skeptical, but willing to discuss, they will pay 50% of the cost $187,762.03 (landfill fugures on file) Signing on for full 1993 expenses, all the way through the end of the year. Did not discuss the timing of the payment but it would be in a timely fashion. Councilman Monahan-requested a letter of memorandum be done RESOLUTION CALLING FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION RESOLUTION NO. 727.93 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mrs. Susan Goetz RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby moves into Executive Session to discuss Attorney Client Privilege information. Duly adopted this 30th day of November, 1993 by the following vote: AYES: Mrs. Monahan, Mrs. Goetz, Mr. Caimano, Mr. Tucker, Mrs. Monahan NOES: None ABSENT: None RESOLUTION ADJOURNING EXECUTIVE SESSION RESOLUTION NO. 728.93 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Michel Brandt WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby adjournes as the Queensbury Board of Health and moves back into regular session. Duly adopted this 30th day of November, 1993 by the following vote: AYES: Mrs. Goetz, Mr. Caimano, Mr. Tucker, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Brandt NOES: None RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 729.93 RESOLUTION NO. 729.93 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Michel Brandt WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano WHEREAS, on November 29, 1993 adopted resolution number 729 providing for the termination of the City's use of the Landfill and transfer stations, and WHEREAS, since the time the adoption of the resolution, City Officials have met with the Town Supervisor and Supervisor Elect and proposed a resolution of the issues described in the aforesaid resolution NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that in view of the foregoing the Town Board hereby rescind resolution number 725.93, and the Town Attorney is directed to prepare a memorandum of agreement.
