RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2019-2020 JUSTICE COURT ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM (JCAP) GRANT APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM
NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF COURT ADMINISTRATION

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury’s Justice Court has advised the Town Board that 2019-
2020 Justice Court Assistance Program (JCAP) Grant funds from the New York State Office of Court
Administration (OCA) are now available to provide funding for Town Court improvements, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to authorize an application for these grant funds up to
the maximum grant amount ($30,000.00) available,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town of
Queensbury Justice Court to apply for a 2019-2020 Justice Court Assistance Program (JCAP) Grant
up to the maximum grant amount ($30,000.00) available from the New York State Office of Court
Administration (OCA) to be used by the Town for Town Court improvements and the Town Justice
Court and Town Supervisor to take any further actions necessary to effectuate the terms of this
Resolution.
