We are looking on purchasing land on 149.We have to go for a land variance for setbacks and part of our
plan is a u-shaped driveway. There is no curb or guardrails on property but the town mentioned it would
need possible curb cuts. We just wanted to check in on this.
We are planning the u-shaped driveway for safety concerns. My husband is a contractor and drives a 3500
Dodge ram and he has some pretty large trailers that he uses for work.There will be times that he will need
to bring them home. It would not be safe to back out onto 149 in this case.Also, it is not practical to have
an area large enough to turn the trailer around on property.
We were curious if you could give us information about the above.

I have contacted your office since last Friday and left message for a call back. We
have to submit our application by Monday and was looking for input from DOT.
