RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ENGINEERING REPORT OF O'BRIEN & GERE
ENGINEERS, INC.,/RIST-FROST ASSOCIATES, P.C., AS COMPLETE, IN
RELATION TO THE QUEENSBURY CONSOLIDATED WATER DISTRICT WATER
TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION
RESOLUTION NO. 429, 1991
, Introduced by Mrs. Marilyn Potenza who
moved for its adoption, seconded by Mr. Ronald Montesi.
WHEREAS, by previous resolution, the Town Board of the Town of
Queensbury retained the services of O'Brien & Gere Engineers, Inc.,
to prepare the Queensbury Consolidated Water District Water
Treatment Plant Expansion Engineering Report, and
WHEREAS, O'Brien & Gere Engineers, Inc., in association with Rist-
Frost Associates, P.C., have prepared the aforedescribed report and
presented the same to the Town Board,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
accepts the aforementioned Engineering Report as complete, with the
exception that the Engineers have agreed to provide certain
additional financial data in the nature of developing water rate
increases due to the expansion of the facility, general rates for
new service areas and general water rates, based on bonding costs,
and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
authorizes the Town Supervisor, Water Superintendent, and Water
Committee of the Town of Queensbury to contact surrounding
municipalities which have expressed an interest or may be
interested in purchasing water from the Town of Queensbury, and
discuss and negotiate terms and provisions of the possible sale of
water to said interested and surrounding communities, subject to
final Town Board approval.
