An application was received and read by the c lerk from Anona Weeks for the consent of the Town Board to Operate an omnibus route over certain streets in the Town of Queensbury. S tJUULXU on Motion of Justice-Bentley , , duly seconded by Justice Sleight the following resolution No 59 was unamously ddopted by the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury: WHEREAS,,, Anona S Meeks of Ft Edward N,Y. has heretofore duly presented a petition in writing for Xkz consent to operate a bus line over the roads T of said Town,; and WHMUW, -_it is- necessary that a piblic hearing be held to determine whether said consent shall be' granted by nthe Town Board, NOW,; THEREFORE,; BE IT RESOLVED that a notice pf public hearing be published on the�r2Oth day of September,. 1950 ,, and that .a hearing,, be Meld on the 23rd day of September,. 1950 to determine if 'such consent shall be s hal 1 be granted. Bentley Justice of the- Peace Curtis Lampson Councilman Raymond Walkup Councilman The board convened at 7:30 P.M. 4. Robert Nolan, Attorney for S. Weeks , was present in the matter of the application of S. Weeks for the consent of the Town Board of the Town of QU6ensbury to operate an omnibus roue over certain streets in the Town of Queensbury. Mr. Nolan stated that the notice was published pursuant to law g fnghnotice of a public hearing upon the application. No one appeared opposing the application. The following resolution was adopted: On motion of Councilman Walkup, second -, ed by Councilman Lampson,. the following, resolution No. 60 was unanimously f adopted: .WHEREAS, Anna. S. Weekes, of Glens Falls, N.Y. , has duly presented to this Board a petition in writing for permission to operate an omnibus over certain lands of the Town of Queensbury and WHEREAS, a notice of such application was duly made and published and a public- hearing held on the 23rd day of September, 1950 pursuant to such notice and publication W HER EAS, Anona S. Weekes appeared by her attorney Robert J. Nolan and all interested parties were heard NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the consent of the Town Board of the Town. of Queensbury be and the same hereby is granted to Anona S. Weekes to operate an.amnbus thru the highways of said town, to wit: on lower Warren Street and River Street in said Town, as requested in the application filed with this Board. : Duly adopted- by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr. Harris Noes - None Mr. Frank Cowles, cemetery commissioner, was also present. He discussed with -the board various cemeteries in Queensbury. Dr. Henry Clarke, Health Officer, 'discussed health matters with the Board. Resolution No. 61 introduced by Mr. Justice Sleight who moved its adopti©n, seconded by Mr. Justice Bentley.
