Town Clerk Spacial meeting April 6, 1951 Present: A. Russell Harris Supervisor Henry J. Sleight Justice of the Peace Meredith Bentley Justice of the Peace uurtls Lampson Councilman Raymond Walkup Councilman` The board convened at 7:30 P.Y.. R. H. Bainbridge, Leslie Coulter and Carl Kreiser were present. Mr Kreiser presented a proposed petition for the establishment of a drainage district In the Broadacres section. The board generally discussed the Matter with him and the matter was referred to the drainage committee.. A letter was read by the Supervisor in relation-to the condition of the store-house yard. The natter was referred to the highway committee. Ernest Lackey, Town Superintendent, .requested permission to sell -the old crusher, ResolutL01'Nos I17 introduced by Justice Bentley, seconded by Justice Sleight: : RESOLVED that the Town Board approve the bond of H. Russell Harris with the Glens Falls Indemnity Co. as surety in the amount of $109000 for highway moneys as to form, amount, sufficiency of surety and manner of execution and the continuation of :the'constable bond of Ralph Hill. Duly adopted -by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, 11r. Lampson, Cdr. Sleight and Mr. Harris Noes - none Mr. Lee Richardson, ekief of the best Glens Falls Fire Co. No. 19 Inc. , was present and requested a permit to hold a carnival for the benefit of '--- the Hest Glens Falls Fire Co. No. 1, Inc. Aesolut, 2AJo, 18 introduced by Councilman Lampson, seconded by Ceu; acllman Walkup., - RESOLVED that permission is hereby granted to hold a carnival as follows: Sponsor - West Glens Falls Fire Co. No. 1, Inc. Name of carnival - LaCrosse An+asements Enterprises. Dates to be held - July 23 to July 08th inclusive. Place - West Glens Falls. 350 It is further r solved than a license fee of $100 is hereby fined for the Molding of su h carnival. and it is further resolved that the Town Clerk be and is hereb authorised and directed to issue a license for the holding -of such carpi al at such time and place upon the payment of the said license fee of $ -00. I Dr. Clarke, Health Officer, was present and discussed health matters. Mr. Kreiser was present and discussed insurance matters. Eugene Johnson, caretaker of the Town Dump was present and requested an increase in compensation. Matter referred to the Highway Committee. Resolution No. 19 introduced by Justice Sleight seconded by Justice f Bentley., RESOLVED that the bond of Curtis Lampson as collector for the West Glens Falls Water Districtilwith the United States Casualty Co. as surety in the amount of $1,000 is hereby approved as to form, amount surety and manner of execution and that the Board sign a bond to that effect. i Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson Mr. $leight and Mr. Harris. Noes - None The West Glens Falls Fire Company submitted a list of active firemen to .the board.
