Leonard Manchester- and Joseph Hanna of the Water Board Bf the city of _4 Glens Falls were present along with Garner Tripp, Superintendent of the City Water Department. A discussion was had in reference to the acqui- sition- of 4,963 feet of 12" water main. ,After discussion, the following resolution No. 22 was introduced by Justice Bentley, seconded by Coun- Zliman pson: RESOLVED that• the town purchase from the city of Glens Falls for the North Glens Falls Water District Extension 41963 feet of 12 inch water main running from the lower junction, so-called, to and along the west side of Route 9 to the city line as it now exists, together with all rights, titles and fee which the city of Glens Falls has in and to the 33 foot strip of real property through Which the portion of the 12" main now runs° for a consideration of $11,653. The aforesaid main now supplies water to the North Glens Falls Water District. 353 Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr. . Harris Noes - none Resolution Ito. 23 introduced by Justice Sleight seconded by Justice en ey: RESOLVED that the Town Board hereby requests the State Traffic Commission to issue the permit which is being sought by the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Co. , Inc. , for the installation and mainte nce of a blinker light at the junction of• Foster Ave. with Route 9. 4r-the Town of Queensbury. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr. Harris nNoes - none Ernest Lackey who was also present, generally discussed the condition of the road on Assembly Point. He stated that no one was agreeable to cut back any further in the bank than the road is now. In the matter of the compensation of Eugene Johnson, caretaker of the, Town Dump, the following resolution was introduced by Councilman Walkup, seconded by Justice Bentley: (RBeoltitlan; No.24) RESOLVED that the salary of Eugene Johnson, caretaker of the Town Dump, be increased from $30 a month to $120 a month for the months of June, July, August and September and for the months of October, November and December, such salary is. hereby fixed at $30 a month. The matter 1 was referred to the highway committee. Mr. Fred Miller and Fred Field were present and discussed with the Board -- the repair of the road leading from the Country Club into Glen Lake. The matter was generally discussed with Mr. Field and Mr. Miller, A petition requesting that a maximum speed limit be established, beginning at the city line on Sherman Ave. and running westerly to the city dump road.; was presented. The matter was referred to- the highway committee. Eldridge Moore was present and discussed with the board the repair of the road leading. from Route 9 by his residence.
