Harris Noes - none Resolution loo. 23 introduced by Justice Sleight seconded by Justice en ey: RESOLVED that the Town Board hereby requests the State Traffic Commission to issue the permit which is being sought by the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Co. , Inc. , for the installation and maintP nce of a blinker light at the junction of- Foster Ave. with Route 9. 0 the Town of Queensbury. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr`. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr. Harris nNoes - none Ernest Lackey who was also present, generally discussed the condition of the road on Assembly Point. He stated that no one was agreeable to cut back any further in the bank than the road is now. In the matter of the compensation of Eugene Johnson, caretaker of the, Town Dump, the following resolution was introduced by Councilman Walkup, seconded by Justice Bentley: (RSedltt&taxi: No.24) RESOLVED that the salary of Eugene Johnson, caretaker of the Town Dump, be increased from $30 a month to $120 a month for the months of June, July, August- and September and for the months of October, November and December, such salary is. hereby fixed at $30 a month. John Webb and Boward Congdon were also present and requested the Town Board to takeover a right of way known as Northrup Drive. The matter was referred to the highway committee. Mr. Fred Miller and Fred Field were present and discussed with the Board �- the repair of the road leading from the Country Club into Glen Lake. The matter was generally discussed with Mr. Field and Mr. Miller. A petition requesting that a maximum speed limit be established, beginning at the city line on Sherman Ave. and running westerly to the city dump road; was presented. The matter was referred to the highway committee. • Eldridge Moore was present and discussed with the board the repair of the road leading.from Route 9 by his residence. " 354 Resolution No. 25 introduced by Councilman Lampson and seconded by Justice Bentley: RESOLVED that the Health Officer, Service Officer aW Town Super- intendent of Highway be and are hereby authorized to attend the schools held for their respective offices in the year 1951. It is further re • solved that the actual and necessary expenses incurred by such attendance- shall be a Town charge.
